Dude, i agree that he was average one day player b/w 1998-2001. Post 2001 he has worked on his batting and mind you he was the best finished in most of the matches during world cup2003, remember Ind VS Pak world cup. He also played lots of match winning innings post that period. Everyone has flaws in their game and he worked on that and became one of the best one day players. Alas same cannot be said of current players like Raina, R.sharma, they will never work on their shortcomings and still get picked for the side.

He would have had better average, better than the so called "GREAT" Tendulkar if the media and the board supported him when he was down with his form. The same way they are supporting Tendulkar now who is at the end of his career.

Lets not compare sachin with Dravid. Both are phenomenal players. I understand media's attention towards T'kar, but as a true cricket fan, ppl understand the value of Dravid and his role in the team. He was the best slip catcher and stats do say he is leading catcher in world cricket currently.

Rahul Dravid

He is a phenomenal player and his contributions to the team are immense. We surely would miss him. Indian team will never be the same without Rahul Dravid. He is a perfect team man, remembers the instances when he was asked to keep the wickets for the team balance and on occasions was asked to open the innings. I do not think anybody in the new generation of cricketers i feel they have the quality and mental toughness as RD. I salute to the great cricketer and wonderful human being. I still remember his speech during Bradman oration, he is true ambassador.

Ganguly,Dravid was the best players in Indian cricket.Apreciated as the played for the country not for the personal record or money. As
they far better than Tendulkar then why tendulkar still in the Indian team, for what?
