Following r the great bawler in 90s and 2000 (a) Alan Donald (South Africa) (b) Shaun Pollock (South Africa) (c) McGrath (Australia) (d) Shane Warne (Australia) (e) Muralitharan (Sri Lanka) (f) Wasim Akram (Pakistan) (g) Waqar Younis (Pakistan) Sachin Tendulkar played 246 TEST ODI innings against these 7 bowlers, scored 9344 runs with 28 centuries at an average of 40.10 runs per innings. Lara played 230 innings (test one day) against these 7 bowlers, scored 9913 runs with 26 centuries at an average of 46.32 runs per innings.
1) Sachin played for his personal records from the beginning at the cost of the team ( ie. the team looses when Sachin is the best performer) 2)Sachin never had champion's attitude 3) had problems against high quality bowling attacks all through his career 4)Values his hindreds more than team chievement 5)Never had any memorable innings. Has gotten only lousy useless knocks. 6)Begged his colleagues to win a world cup as he could not. 7)even after plyaing for over 20 years still does not retire from oneday cricket and does not give opportunities to youngsters. 8) claimed that oneday cricket be stoped and made into a two innigs 25 over game fearing that someone will over take his hundred's tally 9)Throught 90s what was india's performance inspite of a good team and sachin's presence in the team? Only after players such as Sehwag, laxman, dravid, Ganguly came in did india started performing well 10)Sachin has misused the popularity innocent Indians have on him to make his personal records. imagin Sachin playing these knocks in australia, He would have been kicked out of the team long back. Why Sachin is being hailed 1) he is from mumbai 2) There is huge money invested on him by corporates in the form of advertisements who want to promote him ( media promotes him saying he is the greatest player) while he is nowhere close to players such as gavaskar,Viv, Malcolm Marshal, Wasim Akram and many others 3)our corruption friendly country Like people like him.

please go for statistics (and all score boards he played) from beginnings. please see the highlights of his matches against quality bowler like Akram/Waqer/Walsh/Ambrosh/McDermot/Vaas/Saqlan/Glenn/Warne and many others. He was the first indian who raises our hope against Pakistan/Australia and won matches. That to single handedly many times. How he become crowd puller and money maker all over the world... do you think it only by lousy innings. You need to experience all his innings in 90s/2000 and the kind of responsibility he taken on his shoulder.. he is true HERO in y view and billion other's view...
As age grow, Time subdued every person..so there is a decrease in the agility but still in the comparable chat he is still far far ahead of most others...
I rate him higher than Viv as Viv has not faced same variety of bowling in his time.It is mostly pace. I saw Viv is not that comfortable with Akram / Waqer during his later year. Does that means he less greater..
Please reconsider your perspective and be honest in your opinion and let it backed by proper information/facts and technical points...
Sachin is first TRUE SUPER STAR of Indian Cricket....

WoW !!! What a performance !!! The way Sri Lanka has played the two finals (specially the fight in the 1st final) and also in the league, if they continue like this, they can beat India at any day. It will be a huge surprise, if they can't able pull out the last final. Also, in the Asis Cup, if we consider the best two Asian Teams, then definitely it is going to be Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the finals. India seems to be no where in the picture. What we should have noticed in the CW Series, that Sri Lanka's team has already prepared themselves for the World Cup and our team is miles behind them. They even doesn't have the team ready and identified for the big one. It's a sorry state of affairs, where money, politics, power and individual goals are only valued in Indian cricket. Certainly, we are only heading towards the Southern direction rapidly...

Very very sensible comment; Hope majority of Indians would at least see the smoke. Its a huge scam that can rock the Cricketing World, if all truth is revealed
WTF is this logic of having 3 finals. 3 finals are played only by aussies coz they are scared of losing the first one. Anyways, if you look at each game in isolation I simply appreciate guts of the Lankan team. They play each match with the new vigor.

Well said. Aussies play so well that they are assured of a place in the finals and hence they focus on figuring out the best way to handle the finals only.
Other teams are very scared of Aussies during non-finals... eh? :)

See how the Srilankan Trio is contributing to their team in the top, particularly the opening stand is really great. Not only SL Aussies Top order too firing. Nice to watch good cricket all around. Thanks to team India for not quaulifying for the finals. Otherwise It would be a one sided game in the finals. After seeing SL & Aussies performances BCCI should take steps to improve our cricket in the domestic level

1) SRT 136 vs pak is better thn Lara’s 153 vs aus. * SRT’s 136 out of 258 i.e 52% Lara’s 153 out of 311 i.e 49% * next top scorers frm India ws mongia (52) n thn 10 frm dravid next top scorers frm WI wr 38, 35, 33 * tailenders (joshi, kumble, srnath, prasad) scored 10 runs tailender ambrose scored 12 runs
if SRT hd got support frm others which Lara got, team wud hv won.
2) A player usually gets man of the match whn team wins, kallis, akram, ponting team won more matches thn India so they got mare awards, BTW why did u not mention SRT’s highest MOM in ODI’s ? 3) his average is not good against mcgrath, akram, Donald so acc. To u only these 3 are best bowlers bt u conveniently forgot lee, gillespie, warne, akhtar, younis, saqlain, vettory, caddick, vaas, murli, steyn, pollock and many more who r great bowlers.
SRT hs been compared right frm Don Bradman (1930’s) to Desilwa, Lara, Jayasuriya, Anwar, Inzimam, Mark/ Steve Waugh (1990’s) to Dravid, Kallis, Ponting, Sangakkara (2000’s) bt all these players hv never been compared to each other. Everyone is compared to SRT bcz SRT bashers also know that everyone is compared with the BEST n SRT is the best...

this is only inning where sachin has given 50% contribution of inning total. what abt lara's 145, 176, 196, 226, 400, 221, 130, 202, 400, 375, 213, 182 and many more. now dont cry

Sinhalese, other openers in the world also get chance for EASY SCORING bt there performance stands nowhr in comparision to SRT. SRT is the only batsman (10 tons atleast)whose century come in LESS THAN 10 INNINGS.
BTW ur Jayavardane also opened today for EASY SCORING...
The way both teams Srilanka and Australia are playing, I am happy that India couldn't reach the finals. If India would have reached the finals, existing records like defeat by highest margin, lowest score in an ODI, quickest finish of an ODI etc, would have been in danger.
