Sachin can enjoy his new role as and when he decides to retire
by Jagannath Shetty on Mar 08, 2012 02:41 PM

Mr. Chappel studied our cricketers closely as their Coach. None ventures into commenting against Sachin for bear of back fire. Because the entire Media, Advertisers, Board Members – even a few Politicians- will have a lot to loose if Sachin fades away from active cricketing world into a retired life. But Mr. Chappel’s advise on building up a professional team of cricketers - starting from the grass root level cannot be brushed aside. What Mr.Chappel observations mean is that in India an ordinary youngster cannot come up to the Playing Eleven even in the school level - without a strong God Father (or money power) behind him. Mr. Chappel handled the EGOs of Seniors with strictness, discipline and professionally during his coaching days. Let us start thinking about how to build a national level federation of Indian Cricket Associations – where talents are picked up right at the Schools & Colleges on merit, nursed and groomed into State & National level. Sachin having come up a hard way, with a long list of Cricketing Credentials –is a proud Indian with a loving family, an expensive house in Mumbai and is a HNI with high connections world over. Cricketing World will bid him a well deserved farewell – for the long list of his cricketing credentials if he paves the way for youngsters at the right time. He, with other Seniors can build strong Team for India built on a foundation of professionalism. This way Sachin can still be with Cricke
