all teams are same.If you watch cb series when sachin tingu and sehwag or gambhir out team india all out in 150.Look at all matches of this series. So in my view only south africa now full fledged team.Other teams depends on special batsman. But one time south africa all out in 96 runs against australia.Australia also made 47 runs in johanisberg test. So now 2012 and when australia in peak at that time heyden, gilcrist give great start. In my view they are best openers in ponting period.
More than Sri Lanka's strength it was the weakness of Aussie batting was responsible for this position. Australian present ODI team without Clarke and David Hussey is more or similar to Zimbabwe or Kenya team. Indian spineless bowlers made their weak batsmen look superstars. If India had fielded young team for Tests in Australia the result would have been very different. The presence of seniors like Sachin, Sehwag, Laxman, Dravid, Zaheer is enough to demotivate or demoralise any team from showing spirited display. The fat bank account has made these players to relax and lose than fight and win. BCCI should have learnt a lesson or two after the whitewash in England.

But u need to appreciate the Lankans for holding their nerves till the last moment. Imagine u have done all the hard work, but still r on the brink of losing the final berth to a team which did badly....... You need to have nerves of steel, which the lankans had!

It is high time that the BCCI is revamped with a Proffessional body, so that every player is accountable and his remunaration is based on ONLY PERFORMANCE. You perfome and take the payment.NONPERFORMERS should not be paid even a single rupee and the so called seniors has to be kicked out. vishvanath
