Sehwag and Gambhir never showed the spark as a captain. As players they are great but not as a captain. Kohli has taken Indian Under 19 team to win the U19 World Cup. So he has showed the spark before. And now from his performance in Australia he has showed that he is the right choice as Dhoni's deputy. He is quite young too.
No captain except Sourav Ganguly can claim the 'ownership' of a particular Indian team. Ganguly, with John Wright who was the coach then built a team with some of the best talents ever to play for India as its core and by inducting and supporting new talents at the expense of some f@rts. Those who hailed Dhoni as a great captain would now be eating humble pie.
"Maybe the Indian selectors are not bold enough to drop a player like Sehwag." he said. he forgot that sehwag was dropped 2 years back. he came back again.

Kohli appointment as vice captain is also a right thing. let him prove his mettle. if he does'nt prove take his vice captaincy. Regarding seniors they should play responsibly for the country.
