Question
by silver mani on Jun 22, 2012 08:16 PM  | Hide replies

Can an active or current Defence person join the politics??Tendu is a group captain in Indian Air Force at the moment...It is bit strange because a government employee cannot be a MP or MLA,But rules can be bent for God...

A Nominated RajyaSabha MP is not a Politician. The MP Nomination is an Honor by Govt. And The Post of Group Captain is also an Honor. You can hate Sachin, But its childish to spread invalid or Brainless points.

So, You want to say, Sachin should Have to Resign from the post of Group Captain of Air Force, which also an Honorary Post, to Receive this New Honor (RajyaSabha MP).

If it happened, I am sure, you might be the first person to bash sacin over that. Sachin is selfish, He sown Disrespect Air Force. He Resigned from the Post only to Join Corrupt Govt.. blah blah blah..

You people want something to Bash him

Grow up man

Please let us know, What you remember about Ferrari controversy. People like Silvermani and others spread wrong info in public.

If you read the whole topic regarding the Ferrari issue, you will come to know, It was not sachin who asked for tax exemption but Then FM Jaswant Singh who offered him Tax Exemption to applaud his feat (Equelling Bradman's 29 centuries in Test Cricket).

It was we people of India Protested against Then Govt's Honor and Taken back the Exemption. Then Fiat India Paid the Tax to Applaud Sachin's feat.

It was people like you, Mani etc Blaming Sachin for that issue

StockLow,So why Tendu has accepted that waiver??Was he too poor or was he too stupid to understand that his tax willbe used for Nations development???So next time u should go to a cheap charitable hospital instead of a private hospital asu will get A fee waiver over there...

Sachin Tendulkar - A lesson for all future legends
by wish on Jun 22, 2012 08:02 PM  | Hide replies

A great example of a gifted sportsman who brought so much joy to the country in the Nineties.
A legend at 25, slowly but surely this great man started trading his greatness for commercial interests.
Right now he has lost all that aura, he is just a sportsman on money minting mode.
I thought kapil dev would be a lesson on how not to prolong your career in search of a record that now is held by a guy who just doubled it.
Don Bradman - A legend
Viv Richards - A legend
Imran Khan - A legend
Sorry to say, Sachin was there when he was young but not anymore

This gentleman is touching 40, he says to retire now would be selfish. Please tell me of what benefit is he to the cricket team. We got thrashed 8-0 abroad, did he save us. He should have just moved away, I do not see him adding value to the team . he is just sentimental value and we being a country filled with sentiment assume there is value

Recognize one fact - Sachin is a batting artist. He's not a match winner, and he does not have the mental framework of a match winner. He will leverage the Indian cricket system to amass more runs and centuries than anyone irrespective of whether India wins or loses! The Indian cricketing authority and fans are happy to see an Indian holding the record that's all.

So there is a huge difference between being a matchwinner and a batting artist!

All of them earned money, All of them knew when to quit.
I am not sure why it is not understood that the grouse is not against making money but doing so when you have nothing to contribute
Imran khan played when he was 40 in the 1992 world cup, boy did he contribute. That was stuff of legends.

I assume you read my post with your eyes clouded by love and adoration for Sachin. All sportsmen make money, there is however a difference between legends and ordinary sportsman.
If you read my posts carefully you will understand. I however have doubts whether you can read without being biased.
