Good decision. But will they stick to it? If only individual country boards take a strong decision of not allowing the IPL participants during period of national duty, for a longer period of time (like it happened with Chris Gayle of WI), the players will be forced to chose between IPL and national duty. Then we will know who is really interested in wearing the country flag in their shirts and who is interested in just making money. BCCI will always be lame in this direction. However, if other boards do it strictly then IPL will lose it star value and ultimately BCCI will also change. Is it too much to expect, only time will tell.
Make few changes: 1.Allow max 6 foreign players in the playing X1. One of them must be a associate country player 2.IPL should be hosted alternate year in India. One year in India, next year any other test nation and then again in India.
IPL is a competitive tournament because of international players involvement.
