Forgetting selfishness & lack of handling pressure, I had a good opinion about him as an individual & a very skilled & shrewd batsman. By joining hands with a tainted govt, he has lost respect.

Tell me, if it is because of "nomination" what was the need to meet the Italian Bar Maid before joining.

I had a big regard for Sachin but once he became Rajya Sabha member, everything shattered. He is real opportunist.....

Arun, Kumar, you need to educate yourself about Rajya Sabha nominated members. It is not about politics here. He is not on the rolls of any party. It is bestowed as an honour to those who perform at the highest level. While it is film personalities who have got the nod in the past, Tendulkar is the first sportsperson to get this honour. So in a way it is a great honour for sports fans as well.

Sachin on the Mumbai anti-immigration campaign a few years back if you remember - "Mumbai belongs to India. That is how I look at it. And I am a Maharashtrian and I am extremely proud of that but I am an Indian first,"

Mr. Prashanth, you too need to educate yourself about Rajya Sabha nominated membership. When it comes to voting he has equal rights. thats when these congressmen may use him.
forget it he has been already been used by these congressmen.

Minister of Parliament in India"
no college degree or basically no education,
no experience in the field,
not pay taxes on an imported ferrari,
playing for your personal achievements instead of the country. recently noted in the 100th century against bangladesh.
Being so popular in a gentle sport that all major countries don't participate in but still am worshipped for no major reason.
Hmm I sure as hell won't be an MP with my achievements.
Good job India. Now you will progress more.

criminals are MP of India so its completely ok for him
if you know how to read and write your name you are educated... he devoted himself to cricket...
experience of life counts in Parliament otherwise all our leaders would have to go back to school and study political science
Fiat paid taxes on Ferrari (your Rahul Gandhi is ordinary crorepati on paper)
those centuries helped country win matches... (if he wouldnt have played against Paki in semis, we wouldnt have lifted the cup)
Bangladesh is strong opponent buddy...
Cricket is second most popular game after soccer... played in more than 160 countries...
doesnt matter if you worship him or not but those kids do worship him coz he takes cares of them...

idiot like you can only debate here and do nothing for country...

Anand being a brilliant brain has not made as much impact on the society as sachin. For no fault of his own, chess wud never replace a professional exciting sport and in no country wud become a main sport.

Pls understand that chess is played by an individual but cricket is played by a group of people. so dont compare sachin with anand.

I too a tamilian and an Indian and I do admire Anand's ability and talent but don't write anything on rubbish about sachin who had done a remarkable achivements to our country.
