Richards was one of the finest players of his time. Dinesh Ramdin has played 45 tests and his average is just 23 runs. He was replaced by Carlton Baugh in between primarily due to his failure in batting. Richards had criticized the West Indian team batting effort and Ramadin after the 2nd test which West Indies had lost and with it the series 2-0. If Ramdin is to draw inspiration from this criticism and score a century is very good, but the gesture of showing a note at Richards is not sporting behavior. He could have done it more subtly by going personally to Richards and thanked him for inspiring him. Richards is one of the greats of the game and has inspired many by his batting style and even Sachin Tendulkar regards him as an ideal. An insult to such a sporting icon is uncalled for and unnecessary especially by a person who is nowhere even near the high standards and style of Richards

Manoj, is this an insult? Ramdin is just reminding Sir Viv that he is not the only person who is in the team..... Why single out 1 person for a victory/defeat when u call this a team game?? :)

When 10 people perform well and they still dont win, it means the opposition have done really well.
