that a team under-performed in the overseas and a vice-captain is sacked and not the captain? If someone is questioning Gambhir's form then he dont know about Cricket; if giving vice-captancy to some one who is immature and has a good patch for a year then I think BCCI is going out of mind.
A specialist opener who is struggling to score a single hundred from last 20 test matches can't be considered as captain. He needs to prove alot as good captain. Every new indian captain starts well but when pressure arise they chokes as a batsman. India is lucky to have captain like Dhoni who is performing so well despite all the criticism and bad phase of Indian cricket team. Any other captain would have choked in such a kind of pressure.

I am talking about fact and stats. If you will ask to any neutral person (not blind indian fans and experts), they will not point out the finger on Dhoni.

Look at the immature statements of Gambhir after winning the IPL. Do you think he can be good captain? KKR won because of individual brilliance of Gambhir and Narine. There was nothing like team effort. At the other end look at CSK who reached in IPL final, played like a unit, everyone contributed.

KKR reached to final bcoz of Gambhir and Narine however there was no contribution of both in winning final; So you cannot conclude that it was not team effort; it might be because that both this player played so well that the others didnt had an ample opportunity to show their talent and when the opportunity came in semi and final they proved it.
First of all everyone have to understand that both approaches are part of strategies. You need to learn when you need to aggressive and when defensive. It's not always good to keep close fielders if pitch is very good to bat on. Dhoni is doing best according to situation. Indian fielders dropped the catches of M.Clarke and Ponting like players which allowed his critics to question over his field placement. A captain can't do anything if fielders are dropping very very crucial catches.

Everyone knows that defensive & aggressive approach are part of strategies. You speak about other fielders dropping catches? How about Dhoni himself dropping catches?
Its only MSD that taught Indian team how to win in the finals because of his calm attitude. Remember India lost 13 finals in a row when Dada was captain. Sachin was a part of all those finals. Dada was very good but MSD is exceptional

Taking advice from seniors doesn't meant to be a Role Model...And there is nothing in MSD as a Role Model for this Gen...The Real Role model is SRT..Kohli's too..He admitted that he started playing cricket due to watching SRT :)

I am not saying he should learn batting skills from MSD. My point is youngsters can learn alot from Dhoni apart from batting skills.

I am also not talking about Batting skills..MSD has improved lot to his batting since WC I accept..but apart from this there are no other qualities which can make him unique...I cant see :)..He is a defensive captain so far..always wait for opponent's mistakes to get credit..right..?..If not then you cant see :) ..waise bhi Anu tum itna MSD ka prachar kyun karte rehte ho hamesha...what you like in MSD..?

I like his mental toughness. He never chokes in pressure. His management qualities are so good as every youngsters praise him. His leadership qualities are excellent as his decision never influence with media and critics. He does what he thinks and doesn't care about result and critics.

you say Mental Toughness is all about Dhoni's quality..ohh come on..There should be more qualities needed to be a great captain..I think MS is lacking in it...I can only appreciate his batting and wkt keeping skills..thats excellent...I think that lacking qualities you can find in Gautam :)..what says

If anyone is praising Dhoni, it doesnot necessary that Sachin should be brought there. One thing I cant understand why you sachin fans are so jealous and anxious?

Im not SRT's fan..Its about Role Model..so it should be definitely SRT..If you do not think then you must learn Cricket first and comment.
he wants to maintain his position. He does not want to show his true colours. It is when Gambhir the traitor having robbed whatever he could learn showed his true colours.
Aggression and attitude against Ozy and England is very much necessary. You muych show thwm thwir place if any of these guys misbehave. However IPL has brought all these guys closer then before and are friends.
My bhatija Vaidya will write an essay after 10 years how Kohli's attitude improved only becoz of Dhoni's advice :) He will also claim that helicopter shot is the shot of the millenium :)
