I think where Jaydevan lost is keeping everything hush-hush and secret not bothering to share the details with Indian cricket fans.At least we should know how his working is different and superior to DL method . He should publicise his works so that neutral cricket fan can do the comparative evaluation. One thing for sure is that DL does not appear all that suitable for T20 matches giving too much of advantage to the side batting 2nd.Jaidevan should put it on the net .
I dont know how did teams like south africa and srilanka support DL method where as the were the sufferers in the world cup matches...the system should be reviwed with the availibility of modern techs and methods.ICC should adopt methods which could enhance the game of cricket rather then just sticking to the same old DWL method. "Change for Better"
DL system has been the source of confusion on many occassions. JAyadevan has to be patient and ask BCCI to locally test the system in some of its matches.
If BCCI likes it, it is like ICC has to like it. Problem solved. Take that route and smile man.

You guys has missed it man, mallus are the leaders and you guys follow, there are many individuals from your community also in the gulf you wacko cheapo
DL is unfair to team batting first. If a team batting first scores 300 in 50 overs and there is a rain interruption for 30 overs, then Team2 will have to score just 140 in 20 overs. With 10 wkts its possible.
What ICC can do is, they need to specify max. no. of wkts too. In above example, Team2 has to score 140 in 20 overs with only 6 wkts. If they lose 6 wkts, innings has to be terminated.
Even for mid-innings interruption, ICC can consider this, like team has only maximum 7,8,9 wkts, depending upon no. of overs remaining

there is a factual error. the incident 21 in one ball happened in 1992 world cup (eng vs. sa) before the DL was introduced.

@Rasheed Koloth, jforjdue is right. The DL was not in practice during 1992 WC. That is why you saw ridiculous target like 21 runs off 1 ball. During 1992 WC, they had a system, in which the overs of lowest runs were removed from consideration. Only in 1996 WC, DL system was introduced.
Jayadevan relax, you will not understand the need of ICC. D/L can make winning team a loser and a lossing team a surprise winner, which suits the fixing mafia, you won't be considered- Sorry!
