General Question?
by VR on Jul 25, 2012 12:18 AM  | Hide replies

Friends: This topic is not directly related to this news but is more generic in nature for all the chat rooms.I have been to several discussion boards of different country, culture, background etc. There is one stark contrast that I notices. Why are discussions especially of subcontinent nations so hostile, derogatory and demeaning to your own country men. I have never seen it with ppl from other regions of the world and I am talking about western countries as well as other lesser known countries of Africa and South America. Why can't we be more respectful to our own countrymen, appreciate the good work they are doing , have more meaningful serious debate on the issues that our country is facing?

Mate, I too feel this so much with comments here on rediff.
The degree to which we go down to is just shocking on certain articles.
I have repeatedly written to the webmaster on this but with little action.
Politics or politicians are included in an unrelated manner. Then comes comments derogatory involving regional, religion language and on and on..
Guys please keep the comments modest, to the topic.

u r right.be it our society or environment or grooming by the parents etc.. watever it may be, many ppl r crossing their limits, & exhibiting their inner arrogance, frustration, vulgarity & brutal nature. clearly it indicates, these ppl r suffering from psychological disorder. medicines r there for physical ailments but not for psychological/mentally retarded ppl. so god only save these creatures. we can do only one thing "just ignore them".

dhoni the saviour
by sonu on Jul 24, 2012 10:20 PM  | Hide replies

usually scores 30- 40 runs when other batsmen set a gud platform. smone commented here that he is the saviour whn scored 35 runs in last match bt that fellow forgot that veeru kohli did it for team. whn team ws struggling today at 40/4 n no oder specialist batsmen was there dhoni shud hv batted sensibly like gambhir, bt he didnt. this so called saviour never plays whn team is in trouble. its easy to score whn oders hv already dn smthing for team, n people call him a saviour n match winner.

very difficult to trust on todays cricket. all these matches are fixed by bookies.they earn in crores and can feed whole cricket team.

Thats because even fixing matches require some ability, which you sadly lack.

Dear Sonu,
You are absolutely right. It was my duty to stay at crease. Together with Gauti we could have reached 200plus. I apologize for making my fans expectations letdown.
