Irfan is handy with the bat and was in good form in recent IPL. Aaron is fast but his line and length aren't good yet. He was proving too much expensive in the IPL also. He needs to play 1 to 2 years of domestic cricket.

Good combination but I still need to replace aswin with ojha or dinda. Aswin is playing continuously for India in ODI's in backing of Dhoni but still hasn't produced a match winning spell yet. He is a avge bolwer. Selector should include bhajji in coming matches who was in good shape in the IPL and still is the no.1 spinner of India. Not getting his chances due to non-backing of Dhoni. Aswin is playing continuously becoz he is the chennai super kings partner.

Please no more chance to Rohit... This guy got tooo many chances beacuse of the mumabi lobby. really unfair to other cricketers.

Why dont you also join the team as you are a great selector. Why do you want three openers when you already have two world class openers Sehwag and Gambhir. Dont select players on the basis of their IPL Performances. See their internationanl career Mr. Rathore.

But how many he has scored outside india and what about india last two india one day international series performances in England and Australia ?

Madam Richa for ur kind information he scored 6 centuries away from home out of 11. He is the player of the future. Performance in England and Australia went down due to ordinary performance from whole team collectively. Virat performed well in Australia.

1.- V.Sehwag 2- G. Gambhir 3. V.Kohli 4. R Sharma 5. S. Raina 6. M. Dhoni 7. I Pathan 8. R. Ashwin 9. Z. Khan 10. U. Yadav 11. Rahul Sharma
Dhoni and Kohli ..both average above 50 and strike rate in high 80s...shewag is just an ayaram gaya ram and his chamchha gumbeer is always busy backstabbing

first look the stats sehwag has over 100 strike rate and 8000 runs with 15 centuries

8000 runs in 245 matches as a opener is no big thing, coming down the order and scoring quick 20s 30s 40s are matters at death overs. on that slot raina dhoni yuvi fit in. but we miss yuvi in the recent times.

only 23 palyers all over world manage to reach 8000 mark..Chris Gayle also took 234 matches to score 8390 runs.. so how one can say that it is not big deal to score 8000 runs......there are lot of plyers in the world who open the innings but why not everyone achieved this feet? Sehwag looks iresponsible when he got out....but other players do the same

SEHWAG & gayle are the two fearless, aggressive & non selfish players in the current international arena & who really entertains the crowd while destroying the opposition.Salute their guts & talent instead of useless critics.

by Pandu on Jul 17, 2012 04:17 PM
Not taking anything away from Dhoni and he is a good finisher, but almost a 3rd of his innings he has stayed not out. Chances of being NO are more if you come down late. Kohli I agree, he has been phenom lately
Re: Re: Only two class / dependable batmen
by Yogesh Patil on Jul 17, 2012 04:21 PM
Dhoni only play to improve his average......when India is in good position he comes up in order, win tha match and stay not out and improve his average and when India is loosing he comes down the order, wait till 10th batsman get out and he stays not out so either India win or loose he try to stay not out to improve his avg.........

First write the players name correct. Viru and Gambhir are match winners. If not ask dhoni to include u in place sehwag to open.
