Aus need to put their house in order before next year's ashes. english seamers are supreme in their conditions. As for this series, i don't know of any instance where aus failed to win even one game in a 5 match series. surely a series aus would like to forget...selection issues are there sure and biases also exist, f.ex. against katich, hodge. moreover an ageing aussie team can be a problem for next year.
feel good for bopara, bowled and batted well, just when we thought he'd never take england thru to the end, he finished last two with decent not out scores and boosted his avg, to an awesome 91 for this series.
Eng though played well , there are many areas still to be addressed. Michael Vaughan said that Eng top order likes of Trott Bell etc cannot play like Dhoni Watson etc who can chase 300 scores or set up big scores . Trott etc can only strike at 80 odd per 100 balls not good enough in subcontinent says Vaughan. on other hand Aus have Bailey Forrest etc who have SR of under 70 !!! unbelievable in this day and age
some pathetic selections: Forrest Bailey Smith Johnson etc in Odi Cricket . Where is now back in form Cameron White Callum Ferguson .Brad Hodge though 36 still makes heaps of runs for Victoria. Batting is the main problem for Aus in odi as has been established this yr.
