i dont think yuvraj or dravid or any other cricketer needs an award like arjuna or rajiv gandhi khel ratna cos d money de give is pittance and d citation doesnt count or mean anything. d awards can be given to other sports person. cricketers can continue doing ads n media can continue interviewing yuvraj i cudnt believe wen times now, ndtv n headlines today were talking about him at d same time....
The Arjuna Awards were instituted in 1961 by the government of India to recognize outstanding achievement in National sports. person is eligible for the Award only if a sportsperson should have had good performance consistently for the previous three years at the international level with excellence for the year and should also have shown qualities of leadership, sportsmanship and a sense of discipline. THe various sports in India are olympic Games / Asian Games / Commonwealth Games / World Cup / World Championship Disciplines and Cricket Indigenous Games Sports for the Physically Challenged In mid-August 2011, 19 athletes were announced as Arjuna recipients; Yuvis cancer awareness foundation is doing excellent work.all the best
