we dont care who is 39 and who is 19. as the players are representing the nation called INDIA , they have to be at their best to play at the top level. sachin has to prove his fitness and ability to play in each tournament like any other player. he is not above the nation and game. how can he chose when to play and when not to play. he is not the selector. its the selectors who should decide. he has to compete for the place in the team with every other player. its not his property to decide himself. if he feels he is 39 and he needs rest then he should retire. if he feels that he is able to play, then he should play every match for the pride of the nation. every match is important for us.
he is saying that he still enjoys the game. then why is he not playing. he is only saving his battery for the next world cup and also he wants to make record so that no one will be able to touch. if not then he should play each and every match for india. if his poor is not good then selectors will decide.
did he escape any match when he was young. no he didnt. now he is 39 so he is chosing. but all should remember that its countries pride at stake in every match. so india has to field the best possible team in every tournament. no one is above the team.
if he feels he is giving chances to young players then he should permanently retire.
No one is above the team. If he cannot make himself available, he should quit ODI's. This is a really bad example and precedent. similarly the spineless BCCI and the Indian cricketers should stop pretending to be world beaters. A mediocre bunch of overpaid pretenders..

SACHIN MUST RETIRE NOW OTHERWISE HE WILL BE KICKED OUT AFTER SRILANKA SERIES
Sachin is 39, and next year he will be 40. By that logic, since he is getting older, he will never retire. Shame on him for not having retired 7-8 years back; the number of world cups India fared poorly because of him, the number of tours he has flopped. It is staggering how the selectors persist with him, as if there are no more deserving cricketers in the country.

do not blame any one just for the sake of blaming, Sachin gave his best years to cricket, performed reasonably well in all places, he created many records we are all proud of, and above ALL he is well behaved..name one cricketer who can replace him..? sachin is equal to sachin only...
Friends this w/c was fixed & no doubt this happens only in india correct we all know.remember hasan tilakratne was labeling charges why Shrilanka dropped 4 inform players in the W/c final?????
