How can nudewomen leave their mark on the game??:) By stripping and exposure, if one could leave a mark on the game, then streakers would have ruled the show.....!
On a serious note, if they had to portray women who were good at cricket, they could have named Jhulan Goswami or Anjum Chopra or Mithali Raj.
But when there is an article in the sports column for cricket, there is an expectation of a cricketer being in it. Such exposure may give them 15 mins of fame, but people prefer something new & better. These females become history (ref: TheDirtyPicture) :)
This article would have better suited the Entertainment section than Cricket section :)

Its simple. Given that we are cricket crazy country. Every girl wants to cheer up his brother, boyfriend, inlaws or father playing cricket.

actually ishould n't have put boyfirend and brother in the category. But still womenfolk have their reasons to cheer them. How do we know what they feel and how they feel? A lot of it will not reported. Only the bolder ones (PP) show up

dear jiju don't nitpick, if this was in another section , i may not have seen. besides, its common these days even for our newspapers to carry such photos in sports section. entertainment is part of sports.

The girls are adding value ot the game. They have the capacity to draw more crowds and allow brisk business to happen. Anything taht helps sustian cirket is good, isnt it?

And Dear Jiju, its alo a male thing to brag about the atention he gets from women (cricket fans). All our cricketers had on and off relationships with women from showbiz. Naturally the left out girls will have some kind of jealousy.

i do understand your case for women cricketers, at first i thought this was about women cricketers, but i was wrong. anyway, our women cricketesr may not be models or in showbiz, plus may not be as attractive as these anchors.
