A player wanting to play for his country should be available for selection at all times barring when injured. What is the meaning of Sachin being not available? He cannot be allowed to pick and choose tours in which he wants/ does not want to play. This is ludicrous. The country's team chooses when a player is required for its team not the other way around. If Sachin desires to choose tours on his terms then of course he cannot be a part of India's team and MUST retire.

If he is not injured and fits into the Indian team he must be selected and he must play. If he does not fit the Indian team he should not be selected. But he cannot be in the team if and when he decides to be there.

But there is no all rounder in the team. They definately need one of those Yusuf/Irfan/Jadeja, specially on subcontinent wickets.

heheehe ..U must be joking!!! Bowling in one match is different than bowling in all 5 matches.. Ind will have to compromise on 5 th bowler or 7th batsman.

This tour is preperation for world T20.Whereis alounder (expected one alrounder at least)?? Seriously even after condeiring IPL based performance, India have not find even a good alrounder who can fit into indian squad. The lost alrounder we have is Irfan (bowling alrounder)and Jadeja/Yusuf batting alrounder.If we look at the SL team they have got Mathews and Dilshan (batting alrounder), Kula and Perera (bowling alrounder) It will be interesting to see whether Ind will go with 5(Bat) 1(WK/Bat) 5(Bowl) or (Bat) 1(WK/Bat) 4(Bowl).It will be real tough for Rohit/Raina to complete 10 over slot in every match being played.It wud have been better if Ind wud hv opted for an alrounder(slow bowler for slow pitches in SL batman)

As because there is no all rounder in form of Jadeja or Yusuf, who can hit the ball and can bowl 5-6 overs economically.

Horrible!!!!! Keep Rahane out any day Gambhir is better. Same for Rahul, In WI he was bad too. Better Ojha for SL slow pitches.Ind may have to go with 3 specialist spinners and 2 pace bowler. Alrounder goes missing!!!
