Hey hindustanis, why r u all talking about cricket, talk about how they enjoyed their vacation in Australia at our expense. Even our cricket staffers this time enjoyed lavishly. Let a white paper be published by CAG on the complete details of expenses by the Indian Cricket group in Australia 2011-2012, you all will be shell shocked when you all will come to know the expenses.

I say we should straight away prepare fast bouncy pitches here in India and practice bodyline bowling in all domestic matches this way we shall be training our future fast bowlers to bowl full & good length delivery and teach them the art of consistency which is lacked even in our spin bowling department.

We do not have fast pitches, then why should we have fast bowlers, if we do not have fast bowlers, then why should we tour that country that have only fast bowlers, we should tour a country that do not even know how to handle a cricket bat, and let us declare ourselves a WORLD CHAMPION once again.

They won't enjoy at our expense if we do not buy products endorsed by them. :-)

@Is BCCI psyche effected with Isro ,Air India and all else ?
by rama anne on Jan 31, 2012 10:54 AM  | Hide replies

Having been an Indian myself
-----
what is pianful is not others like what Imran or some others are saying

It is our own Indians ,I find these days especially ,some habits of Indian politicians have creeped into all other fields

Iam just shaking with fear ,not because President Obama will stop Outsourcing or will not give Visas

It is more of ,how destructive Indian Politics has become of late ,the extent to which Divisional fualt lines are used to corece ,harass and supress each other is very disturbing

I mean Corruption aside

Just see what happened with
AIR INDIA and now a new episode

ISRO
apart from this for few days Mulla Periyar Dam issue between two states
then there is Kundakulum Nuclear power plany shutdown etc

I mean these sorts of things are not there in China ,may be there is a element of corruption in China like else where but not destructive politics

I am even baffled ,how our Politicians behave ,with key issues

two whole sessions of Parialment just washed away ,no bill passed including JAN LOKPAL bill

Iam baffled how a 1.2 billion plus poeple Govt is not functioning ?ver heartning and disappointed

I will not be surprised BCCI psyche also gets effected by such larger politics as in India

There is surely element of corruption in China. But in China there is something called fear of execution by law. One of their ex-president was hanged on the road because his corruptions were discovered I think it was in 1990s. 2 years back in one of the province brother(Governor of the province) and sister were carrying out all illegal activities - corruption, prostitution, drug dealing, etc. Centre after coming to know about this sent a team and within 2 months both brother and sister were dead. In India we need 10 years to decide whether terrorist like Kasab should be even punished or not. In India, everyone wants a slice of cake off the earnings of BCCI. That is what is happening with BCCI. I am sad India is losing abroad series after series with the best ever team. But, that is what BCCI has built. IPL IPL IPL. If IPL earns 50 times more money than an international test match, why should I go for running in Sun all day for 5 days? What is more sad is India is not able to win any of the shorter version of the game also in England, and no idea wha is gona happen in Aus. Anyhow thats another aspect, but, yes !!! Sports ministery surely wants a share of the IPL now. Agriculture, HRD, Home, Defense..... so on... all are earning. Why should I not?? It is simple. I have seen how much money Kalmadi earned in single tournament. So, why not i take over something which is hyped and occurs every year ??

BCCI
======
make two teams permanently - as usual INDIA national team

another INDIA A team - make incentives to this INDIA A team like good contracts or salaries and provide this team with Competitive cricket
schedule this team t be part of Domestic ranji and overseas DOMESTIC tours (Aust, eng,sa and WI)etc

Last but not the least
make seperate Team managements ,Coaches for both India national team and INDIA A team

Please allow Suarav Gangulay to become COACH of either INDIA national team or INDIA A team

LET INDIA A team ,all members be YOUNGER PLAYERS as well

BCCI by making INDIA A TEAM WILL

i)make younger player waiting in the wings to get into India national team to keep playing Cricket instead of waiting for a place

ii)INDIA A team will create Reserve pool

iii)If there is INDIA A team and incentives exist to perform like competitive cricket ,salary contracts THEN
players like Pujara ,Rohit Sharma etc would havve been part of INDIA A team and would have been touring some Eng,SA or playing at home instead of joining INDIA team in aust and waiting for a berth in National Team

iv)In coming years as legends of Indian cricket will retire ,may be BCCI can use their services as Coaches to INDIA A team

v)Make Mohali and Nagpur both Green Turfs permanent fixtures(Pitches)

I HOPE BCCI will think on the above lines ,instead of merely shuffling the team or sacking players or hiring another fancy foreign coach

@Make Ranji - INDIA A then INDIA team
by rama anne on Jan 31, 2012 10:16 AM  | Hide replies

Well with Ids like Suhrud Patel etc finding commnets here hard to guess who they might be ,I mean real Indian Ids or Not
===========
1.The way comments are written is quiete hurtful to players and even the FANS ,bringing bollywood etc is irrelavent

2.I also believe IPL is not responsible for Team India performance ,but feel IPL also needs a overhaul at the least ,ALL IPL matches should help bring TALENT that will help the National Team ,with so much money involved ,I hope IPL provides entertrainmnet to spectators and also allows some Cricket Talent
That means IPL matches should all be played on TRUE sporting matches ,that has equal contest between Bat and Ball as well

3.Ranji Trophy also needs to be result oriented ,played on sporty pitches ,I remember in some editions of IPL ,there were club teams from West Indies ,Australia(NSW blues and Vic bush rangers etc)
that case ACB AND New South Wales Cricket Boards worked out the plan and made their sporting clubs to play in IPL

Same way BCCI find innovative ways and create INDIA A team all younger players

Allow INDIA A team to play in RAnji AGAINST all teams in the Tournament

Aso let INDIA A team with its own coach plus Team Management tour all countries like NZ,WEST INDIES ,AUST ,ENG etc

That way INDIA A TEAM players would have played true competitive cricket
Experienced foreign conditions

This will help shape YOUNGER players and make them ready for INDIA national team

That way

results will follow
System and structures will take shape
=================
I am a cricket Fan and most times

I have noticed media intellectuals filling media with all sorts of reports and news

Also indian owners not selecting Pak players openly in IPL editions ,it seems has not gone well with Fans from those countries ,so naturally Comments will be in equal proprtion ,now That INDIAN TEAM did so badly
and we should not be surprised ,as openly and blatantly at that time media also projected that news (IPL not selecting PAK players )

Some sections of English and Aust Cricket Faternity are also not that pleased with IPL
they feel
IPL revenues are all India and nothing coming to them

they also feel ,they are better capable of hosting such tournaments as well

-----
So that means BCCI has to know all these on field ,off field issues

behaviour patterns ,what others are thinking

It has to become professional ,united and has to exhibit professionalism to stand tall and last the day

Otherwise it will be pain to Fans primarly ,and embrassment to India and ofcourse all cricket faternity too
----
so better to keep emotions aside
better to keep politics ,egos and jealousies

It is time to come together with a sense of purpose ,with a sense of direction

Find solutions and implement them
Find Practical solutions and make those reforms

Make Reforms or perish with a lot of pain
BCCI has to take a good careful and profesional approa

Be it sports , politics , business , services , every where in india only corruption and ability to manipulate wins, an able strong performer is always bound to give way to the currupted and manipulators , india is full of talent and strong players , but they always need to be kids of celebrety, business men or poiliticians , It can be argued that in cricket some medium class guys like dhoni, rohit , ishant, have been given chances , but they have succumbed to rotten hi fi life style and bollywood girls and lost their sheen, they have turned from horses to tattos.... no fire , no strength left... cricket gives them enough money to stay lavishly the whole life , Australia ...Best of luck to white wash indian amichands and jaichands in one dayers

Patel saab, why has corruption not raised its ugly head when India won T20 WC? CB Series in Oz? WC 2011? Why do you guys always end up talking this garbage only when India loses? And whoever told you that if you are hifi then you get rotten? With all their money, they have been the sanest of all sports persons across the world. Remember one of the IPL cheer leaders praised Dhoni, Rohit Sharma for their sober behavior, and how they cursed Oz and SA guys.... India lost, so what? Is it the end of the world? They have given us immense happiness since world cup debacle in 2007 and till date have done it. They lost two series in a row and we are out to gun their head.... You should be ashamed of yourself.

Vinay if you are replaced for your age in work inspite of giving your best 300 out of 365 days then how would you feel? You would feel betrayed...right? These guys are the reason why we left a part of our life for cricket. Show some respect. I am willing to see India lose few more before these guys hang their boots.

" I am willing to see India lose few more before these guys hang their boots " is exactly the mentality of an average Indian for whom Individual comes before society and nation .
Not surprising that we have so many "GODS" in the country and willing to add some more to the list .

Also it is not surprising that we have never excelled in any team sport , neither in Olympics nor anywhere else .

This is exaclty the mindset which has ensured that despite great individual talent we can never ever be an Australia ( which dominated World cricket for 2 decades ) nor West Indies of the past .

Hang those posters of your "GODS" and worship them while the world ridicules our performance and attitude .

Don't get disheartened my friend. Leander won Australian open doubles title at the same time on the same soil where Indian cricket team met its waterloo.

Yes, Leander's achievement is individual, but it does put the tri-color high in the sky.

Anil, here we are not talking of an average Indian who is loses job has nothing to eat, these cricketers have earned in crores and also even if you are performing at 60 you have to retire, in Sports late 30s is right time to retire as your body does not support your mind, also you said if you are performing then, sorry to say but these guys are not performing anymore.
