Why is everyone after Dravid and Laxman only?
Dravid was the leading run scorer in 2011 with 3 hundreds in England vs the best swing bowlers.
Laxman has been poor in both aus and Eng.
BUT WHY ON EARTH IS MEDIA NOT TALKING OF SACHIN?
HE CHOSE IPL OVER WI TOUR , FLOPPED MISERABLY IN ENG , AND AVERAGED ONLY 35 IN AUS.
THE MEDIA PEOPLE INCLUDING FORMER CAPTAIN SAURAV WANTS TO GET THEIR MILEAGE AND MONEY FROM SACHIN'S 100TH 100 . OTHERWISE THE YARDSTICKS OF JUDGEMENT MUST BE SAME FOR ALL.

Pro Pseudos:
kohli has time with him....
for tingu, the time and luck has ran out long time b4 and he should have been shown the door after the Eng tour...
But mgmt persisted with him to quench his thirst for records..

BCCI is OUT OF TOUCH....

With the selection Process in Modern Times.

The BEST PLAYERS in our country should be selected. NOT players with FALSE REPUTATION.

NO REGIONAL QUOTA also.

Strategies to improve
by Face Dude on Jan 29, 2012 12:37 PM

We can think of the following to improve Indian cricket in general:

1) Declare Cricket as a professional sport. Cricketers should earn their living out of playing cricket only

2) Link match fees to performance / contributions. Grade players according to their contributions not seniority.

3) Ban players from giving interviews to press and media or enter advt contracts until they have played atleast 5 years of professional cricket

4) Separate IPL team from test cricket team. Compensate test players suitably to maintain parity if any

5) Prepare fast and boucy wickets. Have Ranji matches played in these pitches

6) Allow international players to play for state teams in Indian domestic cricket just like English county.

7) Have a grading system for domestic cricketers also at national level - not just at the state level. Publish these ratings periodically in press.

8) Establish constant pool of reserve players (graded as per performance) ready to replace any out of form cricketer

9) The position of each player for a test match will have to be decided on a per match basis not for a series

Any comments?

Time to throw you out of BCCI
by Sowri Rajan on Jan 29, 2012 12:10 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Mr. Pawar, it is time to throw you out of BCCI along with other goons. Board needs a complete overhaul, infusing professional crickets (like Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath,Gundappa Viswanath, Sandeep Patil and not Ravi Shastri and Gavaskar. Sooner they do the cleaning, better it is for the Indian cricket Board. Someone is waiting to slap! beware
