Even the Pakis are better
by Anirudha Chakrabarty on Jan 28, 2012 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

The Pakis also got whitewashd in their Australian debacle but they had the guts to kick out players like Youhana. Our great Indian circus still chooses its ageing lions (or donkeys) ...Menawhile good players like Rahane, Rohit, Pujara gather dust on the sidelines.

Where are you?
by Face Dude on Jan 28, 2012 02:34 PM

Mr Harsha Bhogle, We have been missing a lot - the glorifying comments about your city man Sachin... How he sits, stands, looks, snoozes and yawns and ...(Ill leave the other gestures for want of space).. all falling through the cracks crashing down after this series..

So you dont have much to say after the WC? Thats so unfortunate. Please find another dude (like Sachin) to milk for some more time.. that should take a while.

Till then you may have to look for another job. Most TV channels may not be willing to take your pick anytime soon with you darling failing all ends up.

We Support Young Cricketers BUT They should perform also..
We should not pick them only for there AGE..!!
Need Quality also. Not take them in National Team and only nurished there talent..its a waste of time.. Pick the players who are READY to perform at any level and anywhere . We are 120 Crores peaples.. Huge talent.

Sachin - a failure in test cricket.
by Face Dude on Jan 28, 2012 02:23 PM  | Hide replies

In Test cricket,,, sachin sorry to say has been a miserable failure.. all his runs barring a few have no significance to the end result.

The poor chap is confused about his game and the fame and name... or his shrewd manipulation of down to earth simpleton personality has backfired finally because of the ruthless bowling by England and Aussies...

Fact remains, if going gets tough, Sachin cannot be seen anywhere in the vicinity..

The poor Kohli also scores inconsequential Sachin like centuries. A bad start.

by smarajit roy on Jan 28, 2012 02:21 PM

Its time to stop cricket in India..No one is interested to see those IPL and drawn test matches where sehwag will score 300 in a flat pitch...

what a shame
by Ameya Ghate on Jan 28, 2012 02:18 PM  | Hide replies

A team can be bad overseas but this is the limit. even when Australia come to India, they lose narrowly and not within 4 days. this last test went to the fifth day only because the aussies clobbered the Indian bowlers for a day and a half. This Indian team needs to apologise to the whole nation and voluntarily resign. Winning a World Cup does not give them the licence to play this badly. They are lucky not to get a beating from the president like many football teams get when they play this poorly. This series shows total lack of commitment from the Indian players. No country has ever played so badly for so long. These players are overpaid and they should be fined for the humiliation caused to the nation. Also, the BCCI should refrain from sending any team to play tests to Australia for the next 20 years. They should practice hard and not give excuses about the pitch. And most importantly, watch the words before going overseas to play. Some people were saying that this was the best chance for the Indian team to win a test series in Australia. Yeah right!!!

The team will not resign. Drop the whole team, except Tendulkar. After all, you cannot drop Tendulkar who has to play to create so many more records. Better still, clone Tendulkar so that all the 11 players in the playing XI are Tendulkars. As all of them will be playing for personal records, the sum total will be so great, no team can beat us. That will solve all our problems.

Yes! I fully agree with you. Losing without fight is what disturbs me and all cricket fans. Ok! if you don't do well in the first innings? Improve in the second atleast or the 3rd or 4th.... Shewag wants us to support them at his hour. Fine! We will support only when you lose against Bangladesh. And a suggestion to BCCI. Please organsise 1 test series against Bangladesh and so that we can celebrate 100th century of our so called great...great.....ssssss
