Blessing in disguise

I feel that pakistan's domestic turmoil has had an unintended positive benefit to its cricket.

While all teams play and blood youngsters on domestic wickets, it has been rebuilding its team on foreign soils due to issues back home. So I think that instead of other countries this gives it an edge in toughening up its cricketers and making them more adaptable to foreign conditions. This could make Pakistan the team to beat in years.

India too sohuld start playing its home matches in SA and england so that it will develop more versatile cricketers.

Great news amidst the gloom.

Boycott used to say even my mom can play swing bowling. Now what will he say about Englishmen's playing spin.
Also, Botham said that England can be no 1 for the next five years.
Beating a bunch of buddas on green pitches does not make you a great team.

I guess it was Pakistan who took some training from the 5-0 victory of India over England.

Class of England
by Marathi Indian on Jan 28, 2012 07:28 PM

This shows the class of England. They are no 1, but cant even win a single match outside their country. The problem of England & India is same. Committment and seriousness about the game.

Matter of motivation

This Pakistan team does not have any Superstars. They only have motivation and commitment. And they have a leader, albeit a guy of limited ability, who is there leading from the front.

they have players who perform under pressure. India has only Rahul Dravid and rest all paper tigers who can play only on slow and low indian pitches. Unfortunately Dravid had one bad series and the consequences are there for all to see.
