Oldies

I have seen Gavaskar and company play outside India during their time.. They didnt have their seniors second guessing and giving unsolicited advice. If BCCI can stop these oldies from going on tour, that would help.. It is not as if these guys tore it up when they were playing.. Gavaskar is full of BS and one of the greatest hypocrite of the world.

Kumar.. shove it.. We know you dont like Tamilians but the issue in cricket is not due to selection.. It is that our top and middle order completely failed.. Our coach is useless..

Can't really agree with SMG on this matter. Kohli, one feels, simply felt the one thing the other players, particularly the senior ones, have not felt on this tour - embarassment.

Gavaskar is right

When you are winning it is right to give back. But loosing left & right is only making a mockery of giving one back. Say it with your bat & then open your mouth wide

Why should Kohli keep quiet when provoked? If u r quiet, u can never curb brutes like Nel & Aussies.
If Sreesant was quiet when provoked, Nel would not have shut his d1rty mouth.
If Harbhajan was quiet when provoked, Symmonds, Hayden, Ponting & Gilchrist would have still barked non stop.
Same case with Kohli....... Sir Sunil Gavaskar, this is not 1980s & 1990s cricket where Indians were timid. Our guys have grown up. Pls try to understand that fact.

True my friend. But losing matches/series doesnt mean listening to maabehengaalis and keeping quiet.

True, no harm in giving it back, esp to the players. However I think the Indian players need some lessons in doing it subtly, esp. Kohli and Gautam Gambhir. Nowadays, the match refrees are strict on abuses and sledges. Since then the Aussies refined their tactics and do it quite subtly. However they are no saints, and the secret lies in provoking them to get irritated and say something. Better that they are handed out one match bans or fines than us.

Virat - Gavaskar debate
by theone on Jan 27, 2012 08:20 PM

The team needs at least "one gunda" to get under the Aussie skin just like Ganguly did to annoy and also teah the Aussies tit-for-tat, while the rest can be calm and concentrate on scoring runs / wickets etc

Absolutely agree with Sunny....the aggression should be in the game and not in swearing around for no reason... Ifu can't take defeat then just stop playing. The Aussies didn't instigated anyone other than defeating us fair and square.

And Sunny's walkout was completely under a different situation and he was right

Mr.Gavaskar is a retired cricketer and jobless too.so it easy to sit and crticize others performance.what he did in late 70s when dinnis lellie got him LBW he didnt allow the next bastman to continue.Michael clark said beofre the start of the 4th test that he was not going to show any sympathy for sachin now he is spot on unlike men in blue who showed sympathy for pointg and hussey by saving their carriers.Mr.clark u got some attitue and still gavaskar slams young kholi for showing little attitue after reaching 100.
