Sehwag has always been carefree but in the just whitewashed test series against Australia he was at his career best in displaying not just a care free attitude but sheer unalloyed carelessness. Atleast on a couple of occasions he was clearly annoyed and displeased about the Australian fielders dropping catches off his bat.
It is disaster of monstrous proportions in waiting if he were to be made the regular test captain.
Srikanth regional feelings killed the spirit of whole team. Instead of taking blame, he is shifting the blame on Dhoni. He selected following players in last 4 years.
Vijay Murali - Average is 30 in tests and 15 in ODIs Abhinav Mukund - Average is 20 Badri - Average is 20 in tests and 15 in ODIs Dinesh Karthik - Played 23 tests and 52 ODIS. Average is 25 only. Scored only one century
Ashwin - Took only 4 wickets in 2 test matches against Australia eventhough Australians are vulnerable to Spin Balaji - Forget about him. played 30 ODIs and 10 test matches
Nearly half the tamil nadu team. if one fails, he gave chance to other tamil.
He killed the spirit of whole team with his idiotic approach and non sense reasons. He needs to take the responsibility and need to step down. If Ashwin fails, Srikanth is planning to give opportunity to his Son Anirudh in the name of all rounder

your comments show ,that you want to split vertically BCCI with such comments
North,South ,East and West INDIA stands UNITED
we have our differences ,but we are smart to realise the Cunning Foxes that are trying to Harm India

when useless players like kanitkar, sunil joshi, vinay kumar, mohammad kaif, romesh pawar cud play for india no harm in giving chance to these players
When a players reaches the highest level of skills to play for the country, all the hard work and training translate to the physical aspect of being a international class player.
In modern day sports, not only the skills and talent is required but one needs to consider the mental aspects of sports. In addition, fitness and sport nutrition are also usually ignored.
Overall psychological impact is usually highly underestimated and players try to concentrate on skill alone. Beating a team mentally is still fair play on the part of the Aussies so there are no excuses.
The solution is serious counseling, imagery, breathing exercises and Yoga.
The two main areas in sports psychology are, individual mental toughness and team dynamics.
In individual mental toughness, the players have to have to have personality traits to be able to perform mentally, these are
1. Form and overcoming slump 2. Temperament and Composure 3. Fiesti-ness, Determination, Will power and Motivation 4. Positive thinking, Self confidence and Self belief 5. Focus, Discipline and assertiveness 6. Patience, responsibility and self Restraint and staying power 7. High Morale, Intensity levels and Passion 8. Anger Control, Emotion and Anxiety 9. Over-training, injury anxiety and burnout 10. Resilience and ability to overcome Adversity 11. Setting Personal goals 12. Drive and hunger to succeed. 13. Consistency and persistence 14. Aggressiveness and boldness
I believe it is better to change selection committee first so that new selection committee can come with fresh ideas. My future indian team is
1) Rahane 2) M pandey 3) Dravid 4) Tendulkar 5) Kohli 6) Rohit Sharma 7) Dhoni (Captain) 8) Ohja 9) Z Khan 10) Ishant Sharma 11) U Yadav
Bench: 12) Saha 13) A Rayudu 14) Pujara or Abhishek Nair 15) Harbhajan singh 16) Aaron
I believe it is better to continue with Dhoni as captain. No need to blame Dhoni for the mistakes of Srikanth. Srikanth ended up giving chances only to Tamil Nadu players instead of developing good backup players.
Harbhajan can be given some chances and see if he can be effective.

I thought Ishanth Sharma took 404 wickets for 4 runs in the series so far........were you sleeping? :p :p That's why our dear Kumar has him in his 'Dream' team (For the reality, just interchange the runs and wickets in the statement above)

kidnly exlaplain the logic behind Manish Pandey's inclusion in a test team - what has he done besides scoring one 100 in IPL? what is his record in india A tours abroad and ranji trophys?
That should be enough to motivate him. Hopefully he has made enough money to sustain him for the rest of his life. Post-retirement prospect for making money is not very good.
DhongiHas been the main reason forIndia'sFailure in this series. His passive lackadaisical approach toCaptaincy and hisComment on retiring from tests by 2013 are the reasons the team isDemotivated. AllNorthies can see onlySrikanth atFault while theirNorthieGod MrDhongi is absolutely not atFault. Bravo!!
why do all these so called "experts" say things after the event has happened....why didn't they make these observations couple of months ago when sehwag made 219...or when dravid was the highest run scorer in 2011 in tests - just a month ago.....suddenly things are happening in one month strange isn't it...i wud really appreciate if any of these so called experts had given comments of retire ment of laxman/dravid before the test series.....its easy to make expert comments after something has happened

Good point. Forget the retirement of seniors. Even non performers people like Gambhir, Sehwag, Dhoni also should be rotated.New talent should be gradually blooded in instead of making hew and cry about retiring the seniors at one go.
