whitewash..
by santosh bhosale on Jan 27, 2012 07:43 PM

everyone has forgot how to play test cricket..I think Ajinkya Rahane, Aakash Chopra or Wasim Jaffer would have ensured good opening partnership...Time to say goodbye and thanks to big four includes Sehwag...

Whitewash
by venkateshwaran pazambalacode on Jan 27, 2012 05:42 PM

The fall of the Indian team was scripted in the first test itself. No one has adapted to the pitches in Australia. The bowlers though have done well. With good fielding, they would have done better. All in all, our team was not up to the mark. They were underprepared for this Series. The seniors let down the team miserably. Surprising Rohit Sharma was not given a chance. Very poor show by the Indians.

Dismal Performance
by ranjan chowdhuri on Jan 27, 2012 05:35 PM

Our players have shown that most of them lose all the fire in their belly once the going gets tough. The aggressive streak and the focus is clearly absent.

Time to say good bye !

I think the oldies together with Gambhir and Sehwag should give a way to the youngsters. No matter even if they lose one or two matches no problem they can learn. Because of these oldies i.e Sachin, Dravid and Laxman these youngsters not getrting chances. That's why good bye all oldies.

First think about the future of dravid Laxman Gambhir and Sehwag than come to SACHIN .You cant just remove your best run getter of the series only becouse he is OLD !!Always remember RESULT is count not AGE ..

We will see how they handle India in 2nd innings
by Gurjot Singh on Jan 27, 2012 01:30 AM

We should have a very interesting match if we can bundle Aussies up in the first session. The target should be achievable. The pitch is breaking up and will favor the spinners. The edge will go to India since we are great against spin. Also, big four may finally produce and redeem themselves.

BCCI - Sachin conversation should be as follows
by cc man on Jan 26, 2012 11:53 PM  | Hide replies

"Look Sachin, we will be always thankful to your batting contributions in the context of records but unfortunately, 90% of time you had never delivered stellar knocks when needed especially under pressure whether its contest or no contest matches. So, considering your 22yrs of experience and age, we expect you to deliver stellar knocks consistently especially when team indian needed it so that its insipirational to future generation as part of transistion effort.Otherwise there is no point in you playing cricket still at the expense of strong nerved youngsters like Kohli ,Sharma etc. So, unless and until, you play well at this juncture of your career, there is no choice other than you announcing retirement or we dropping you. So, please treat this as warning and think about your future and let us know quickly by end of ODI series. We are running out of time. And we are not in position to accept the kind of play you have been playing in England and Australia etc. Thank you once again Mr. Looser(considering you are not a champion) and Record holder"

cc man: I dont understand the unnecessary Sachin bashing here. Can you spot me one match winner in Sachin's place before touching any other vulnerable candidates of this Indian Team. I bet you may have to remove half of this team before you can open talks on removing Sachin. Just enjoy the transcendental beauty of his batting that has survived generations and still going strong. I agree that for a man of his stature, 20s and 30s are just an aberration, but that shouldn't call for his removal in any case.

Siddle u dont need that much consistency to get players out , i dont know about others but as far as sachin is concerned , just put him in a little bit of pressure situation and siddle u can have him out even bowling spin. He is a burden in disguise for past 5-6 years .
