Surprise! Surprise! Indian Team Not Embarrassed!
by Shrikar D on Jan 26, 2012 12:20 AM  | Hide replies

It is not at all surprising that this proverbial clown-car masquerading as the Indian cricket team in Australia is not embarrassed! After all, you have to care about something in the first place to then be embarrassed when you could not achieve it. This new generation knows that most Indian cricket fans have very short memory spans & that performance in overseas Tests does not matter as long as they do well in the IPL & other domestic series.

Don't blame Ashwin. It is the so called ba---d Dhoni & seniors failed to contribute but also afraid to meet press.

Then somebody better coach Ashwin on what to say to the media & how to say it. When most Indian fans are acutely disappointed with the National Team's performance (or lack thereof), it does not help to hear these types of comments being attributed to it.

No one is embarassed in dressing room coz u dudes are making your money. There's 1 billion people embarassed across the world for being Indians and supporting our team (which btw are not embarrsed even though they are the cause of the embarassment. May be Indian team should only play Ranjhi. 10 Countries play cricket and we get hammerd by 6 out of those. Clearly no cause for embarassment. Carry on dudes....two more days of Aussie sunshine and go karting

Look guys......

It is like this .......

Just pay me about 10% of what BCCI is paying these guys. Not more - I am satisfied with that.
Even with money you will not see me complaining.
I GIVE YOU ALL 100% ASSURANCE.
Maybe the performance will be as bad as these cricketers ( I don't think it will be worse ).

And I won't feel bad, feel embarassed, etc.

And general public will also feel happy that they have saved heavily on the amount they pay players.

Hey Blind Sachin Idol worshippers-Grow up and Use your heads !!
by Kumar Gourkar on Jan 25, 2012 09:01 AM

It looks like we have lot of blind worshippers of Sachin Idol in this country. From the responses I received, it looks like unless these kind of people change and encourage new promising cricketers to come up and play for India, Indian cricket will never improve. Inspite of solid proofs, they are not prepared to agree that Sachin is never a knockout match winner or a pressure cooker player. Sachin was never prepared to face challenges head-on. When we made him captain of India team, he failed miserably with his batting. At that time itself, when he was scoring on single digits, he should have been rested and a new promising player could have been given chance. Sachin owes most of his records to the leniency of the Indian Cricket Board which is a bunch of people who think with their legs than heads. Some people questioned my usage "when we wanted him most". It means due to the build-up reputation of Sachin, we wanted him to badly turn things around for India and he failed. Sachin was or never will be a pressure-cooker player. He can never dare to come at No.4 or 5 and bat like Ponting, Steve Waugh, Michael Bevan or even Aravinda Desilva.
