Indian players can easily defeat Aussies but.....
They are playing safely to avoid any injuries before playing IPL>
Because they can make hell a lot of money playing IPL than playing Test cricet.

Not tired nor injured
by sarkar on Jan 24, 2012 03:50 PM

When the IPL comes, all the players suddenly feel fresh, all their tiredness and tight schedule vanishes.
The players who remain injured throughout the year, get fit and are available for IPL. Power of money rolling.

BCCI retribution
by Siddharth on Jan 24, 2012 03:05 PM

There was a BCCI official 'leak' that Laxman was going to retire. Laxman said that he wasn't going to. BCCI put pressure on IPL to keep Laxman out.

Its lowers the standards of players who play this format. The batsmen can just slog without worrying about technique on flat batting pitches with the boundaries brought in and the bowlers lose all their confidence after getting smashed all over the park.
IPL is the No.1 culprit for spoiling the quality of the test team.
Test players should not play in this format if they want to maintain their level of excellence.

Test Team ? who on the earth still want to watch a game for 5 days which can be a draw at the end. 20-20 is the way to go.

Never Mind. IPL is not a yard stick to guage this genius
by Surya Mangipudi on Jan 24, 2012 09:55 AM  | Hide replies

Never Mind. IPL is not a yard stick to guage this genius. People who say, he is slow in field, holds the 2nd highest test catches in India. Some might say, slip fielding is the easiet. Possibly not. It requires quick response and agile thinking. Mark Waugh never field in the out field all through his test career. We know what Mark Waugh is in slips. Same is Laxman. Coming to IPL again, it is a circus. Again, didnt want to criticise it either as it's a good money spinner and we and BCCI know money would do. :-)
