Indian cricket team vie for Aussies tour once in four years. It is a jolly trip for them no dedication. they go with the teams fate well in advance. So why toil in the field. finishing the test in less than three days will entitle two additional days for partying.

cartelism within the indian team, we have politicians in team as well. when it comes to selecting proper players, politician in team say, we all played bad, so boot us all or none. such is political minds of selectors and players.

Don't bother about that. He made this average by playing against one of the weakest teams [India] also. But Look at Dravid. He has got only 8 Ducks against 10dulkar's 14 and Kalli's 13 and Ponting's 16.

Iam really concerned. I was this 'GREATEST BATSMEN ON EARTH' to achieve the following:
Year 2012 - First player to cross 16000 runs in Test Year 2013 - First player to play 200 tests Year 2014 - First player to get to 100 half centuries in tests Year 2015 - First player to play 225 tests and cross 18000 runs. Year 2016 - First player to play with his son. Year 2017 - First player to play tests at 44 age. Year 2018 - First player to play 250 tests. Year 2019 - First player to cross 20000 runs.
And did I hear something like 'Match winning knock' ..common on ..that is not his cup of tea. forget it. It didnt happen for 22 years. Its not going to happen in the next 6-7 years.

I am not sure, if Umesh is going to create such personal records..but iam at least sure about one thing..he is not going to hang around for more than 2 decades and claim to be a match winner.

Forget his age...... But think abt BCCI's strategy. Earlier, our players used to be sent to County Cricket where they would be exposed to pace, swing, spin etc. But now, that is also ruled out and instead, they are serious in playing flat track/IPL/CLT20 only.
Due to this, the new age batsmen ARE and WILL be suffering due to lack of technique to face Eng/SA/Aus bowling overseas. But BCCI will only mint money in playing subcontinental cricket!!

Did I say, he was not doing better that indian batsmen. You are not just getting my point.
For his age/ experience/ repution, he shouldn't just be doing better than the fellow indian batsmen. He should be an asset and ne playing match-winning/saving knocks often.
If he was his true self, he should have saved the 1st test in melbourne. If he was his true self, he should have gotten loads of runs at Sydney (where aussie batsmen scored plenty).
And if he is at his true self, he should score plenty at Adelaide (lets see that).
India is not going to be helped by him playing above-avg inn. He should either perform extraordinairy and teach others, why he is in the team ..or retire gracefully. See what Lara did. See what Steve Waugh did. he should follow suit.
