Make sehwag pick n choose series inorderto create the next breed of players else a 26 year old Tiwari and a 21 year old tiwari will be dwindling their thumbs in anticipation n have their career over before ir blossoms ala a bhadrinath.
This Indian Loser cricket team should be given Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratan Award. The award named after the person who had nothing to do with sports is most appropriate for this team.
Even if the aged warriors are replaced, India's batting woes would continue as long as the selectors do not have the guts to remove both the openers and replace them with Rahane and Mukund or someone else. India's problems start right at the top and penetrate further. What's the use if even someone's 165 innings (and other person's 85 innings) experience hasn't taught him any lessons. This is neither a gully cricket bowling nor, he's a Bradman. In ignoring to respect the opposition and their attack, Sehwag has exposed himself and made himself a laughing stock. Do not once again find the poor south Indians an easy meat and criticize or dispense only VVS and Ashwin and feel comfortable. Replace both the openers first and Ishant with a suitable bowler. Half of the team's problems will be solved. And, Indians are better advised not to open their foul, useless mouth and retaliate verbally.

But in Indian pitches, both shewag and Gambhir would score nicely. Also it is pertinent to note that in the nex couple of years, India will not be playing test matches overseas. In this scenario, if both Rahul and VVS have been removed and replaced by Pujara and Rohit, then it will be a good idea, I feel
BCCI ===== do not react to pressure ,yes team did poor ,as a FAN iam very sad and disappointed too
ii)do not just axe senior players ,because that will not serve the purpose
iii)do not react to indian media like NDTV or aussie media
iv)be cool ,but be realistic ,honest ,make good round table meeting like I suggested below ------------------ make INDIA A TEAM all with youngsters ,arrange this INDIA A team to tour austrlia ,NZ,WEST INDIES ,ENGLAND AND SOUTH AFRICA
ii)anyway Indian team does not tour overseas for next six months
iii)as YOUNGSTERS PERFORM in those overseas tours ,mentor them and coach them to improve their technique
iv)then step by step ,phase out seniors with YOUNGSTERS from INDIA A team and eventually in 2 years time A new INDIAN team will be built
but this time such a TEAM will have youngsters who toured overseas ,know different conditions and adjusted to such conditions as well
then INDIAN CRICKET will be back
I do not feel NDTV or aussie media or some REDIFF forum with some clever people commenting all over the place is in the best interests of Indian cricket
Indian cricket is best served ,by retaining Indian style of things but adequate changes in place ,adequate reforms ,adequate policies ,adequate training methods ,adequate grass roots and adequate reach out to more tier 2 towns like Coimbatore ,Vijayawda ,Amristar ,Ludhiana ,Karnal,Lucknow ,Indore ,Nagpur etc

not help egos will not help pitting ex cricketers vs current cricketers will not help
making statements to hurt each other will not help but will make it worse ----------------------------------
Already Indias enemies (BCCI enemies) are waiting to disintegrate the BCCI and put a big dent
That is why we must resist PRESSURE ,media write ups and their analysis etc
they will not help ================== Instead as Gangulay has said make round table conferences
let Sunil Gavaskar Kapil dev madan lal vengsarkar Gangulay Kumble Dravid sachin etc all attend ----- Discuss i)Short pitched bowling ii)discuss pace bowling iii)discuss green turfs
write down all the details why Gavaskar could play pace let other players like Gangulay etc also give their opinions and then suggestions
---- discuss short pitched bowling
swing and pace etc
---------------------- Iam sure we can come out with reasons and then solutions
let us be constructive and save our team and cricket
let us rectify the errors or inadequencies
let us build back a team in 1.5 - 2 years time that will win matches overseas
so let us be sincere and be honest with this approach

Yes, this is not the time to drop the players based on media feedback and modern sport should not include age discrimination! Those who are fit and consistent should always be selected irrsepective of age! Aus players like Ponting and Hussey too were out of form for longer times and they persisted with them!
The reason for failure needs to be analyzed by BCCI, I am not sure whether they will do that or not.

Indian Cricket will come back in 2 years time if BCCI will do the following ===================================
i)Do not react and axe the senior players and resist the pressure from indian media like NDTV and australian media as well
ii)Constitute youngsters in Team Indian A ,and arrange for that team to tour Australia ,west indies ,South Africa and England to play in their domestic league
iii)Buy more bowling Machines and construct wider area indoor nets and let these nets be equipped with such machines ,besides ,get some HOT SPOT technologies as well
iv)Get some Rural and Tier 2 cities folks to get some Pre arranged SCHOLARSHIPS ,let these be Tall and well built like Umesh Yadav type ,then allow them to be coached
v)Make both Nagpur and Mohali with Green tops
vi)Sack both Coached and replace them with some good domestic ex cricket players
================================== In 1.5 - 2 years time Indian Criket will be back with good performance
If BCCI simply axes senior players and reacts with pressure from MEDIA ,they might damage CRICKET altogether as well
----- As Iam an Indian ,I know well how Indians think and cope ,I feel Indians do not like constant PRESSURE where as Aussie system is Competitition with PRESSURE ,such tactics will not work in India and Indian people ,it will backfire with stress related issues
However Indian Cricket can be revived with a mixture of
i)Cool headed reforms like Pitches with green tops
Re: @Pressure and Psycology will not help Indians
by rama anne on Jan 25, 2012 07:21 AM
at Mohali and Nagpur
ii)adequate BOWLING MACHINES with help of ISRO to do custom robotics and Indian ICT putting in some complex software like TCS has done with Ferrari Formuale One racing car
iii)Create a pool of bowlers ,speed is good and if indians cannot bowl 145 MPH ,but yet with 135-138 MPH ,we can improve line and length and main thing is accuracy or consistency (pitching ball in the right areas)
iii)PRESSURE ,PRESSURE will not work in Indian context and I feel aussie style rotation policy ,competition for places are all good and can be adopted inside Indian system
iv)I do not like in your face kind of cricket ,banter and media pressure on the team ,for India ,they will not help rather they will destroy the team
iv)Also BCCI should come out with a Policy AND publish a white paper
This white paper clearly divide into two areas
At Home vs away Home series
BCCI should spell out minimum Training camps ,facilities to use and methods
so any Coach hired will have to follow those minimum set of well laid out policies
otherwise ,we have Gary kristen his style ,after that Duncan his style etc
so we need BCCI lay out policies and min agenda this can be done with consultation of Indian ex cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar Kapil Dev Madan Lal Kumble Gangulay Kapil Dev etc
because all of the above played for India ,toured overseas and have experiences in real time ,they also know some good ideas that can be made as policies

Several round table conferences with good atmosphere ,where current players ,ex players and BCCI sit down together --------------------- Record the discussions
allow suggestions to come out
discuss those suggestions
see how to implement practically like feasibility etc
once all suggestions are worked out ,discussed ,feasibility studies carried out ,then POLICIES can be framed
A WHITE PAPER can then be published on the BCCI web site
any Coaoch who is hired ,can be asked to follow those minimum policies and in addition at his discretion ,he might have stratergies as per games and context ----------- that is the correct way and HOPE some one out there reads my post and takes note what I have written here -----------
With teams like NZ winning in Australia, and Pak against England, the problem with this Indian team is psychological. Teams like NZ and Pak are weaker than India. The gap between FC cricket in India and international is purely psychological. Similarly the home to overseas gap is mental in nature.
The media, players and officials have always engaged in hyping up pitches to be quick and pace and bounce being a problem. But there were no demons in the pitch which shows that the mental aspect of becoming tentative affected the Indian top-order.
The two main areas are, individual mental toughness and team dynamics. For a players personality, the form of the players, compusure, discipline, fear, motivation, positive thinking, self confidence and belief, temperament, focus, patience, will power, morale and anger control are personality issues composed in a team as a collective unit.
Team dynamics in sports is divided in to 2 parts:
1. Social dynamics:When players don't get along 2. Tasks dynamics: When team cohesion affects the end result required by players tasks.
The problem with Sachin's goals like 100 centuries can affect team cohesion and team dynamics. In Social cohesion, when players don't get along.
Losing your temper is another problem with team cohesion, when LBW decisions like a player of Sachin's calibre is given out.
It demoralizes the team, and the process of mental dis-integration is ongoing.

you are partially correct ---- @Sachin has faced many such decisions before ,yes this time he did express his displeasure at the decision
But I fail to understand how ,his displeasure at the LBW decision will effect the TEAM morale
very hallow logic indeed? and questionable ============== Everytime ,Batsmen fail ,they say mental ,it is not correct
For Example : Rahul Dravid did well in england ,here in australia he failed ,as he was well studied and targeted precisely with some speed bowling in the gaps of his defense
like a missle fired into that GAP ======================= Also in the world cricket Every Batsman has lean patch , Both Clarke and Ponting have had their lean patches as well
It is natural in the scheme of things ---------------- Having said that ,This time Indian team poor show reasons are :
i)Aussies made sure Indian bastmen are targeted with line and length
ii)Aussies made sure ,there is a tinge of Grass left on the pitch right areas
iii)Micky arthurs analysis of each senior Indian batsmen turned out to be accurate and Aussie bowlers precisely targeted
iv)Mark waugh suggestions ,to pitch up and maintian line and length around on and off stump and at times Leg stump also showed desired results
iv)Virendra Shehwag ,Guatham Gambhir did not leave the balls alone that are bowled outside off stump and poked at them ,to be caught at SLIPS or behind the WICKET
