Award...
by Chandan on Jan 28, 2012 04:18 AM

This Indian Loser cricket team should be given Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratan Award. The award named after the person who had nothing to do with sports is most appropriate for this team.

SRT - A Liability
by Akshat Saxena on Jan 24, 2012 12:16 AM

Media has been after VVS and Dravid stating that they have become old and are out of form. As per the same yardstick, VVS is youngest among SRT/Dravid. Also Dravid was the highest scorer in year 2011. So why SRT is being left out? Only in India a player gets so many chances.

Tendulkar was never a Match-Winner
by powerful Goldstar on Jan 23, 2012 12:33 PM  | Hide replies

If you examine history of Tendulkar's batting, he has never been a match winner. I like style of the batting maestro no doubt, but if I have a match in which I do or die, I will never have Tendulkar take care of the crucial situation. Sachin had been good in his technicalities of the game, have immense records to his credit but never been a performer in a knockout. Whenever we wanted him to turn back India's fortunes in a crucial match, he has failed to do so including the 2011 World cup final. We can cite umpteen number of reasons including doubtful umpiring decisions etc for the same, but that all doesnt help justify the reverse for Tendulkar. So if you expect Tendulkar to change things for India who is in dire straits, its a fools paradise

Target 200
by arun bahuguna on Jan 23, 2012 11:40 AM  | Hide replies

The only way the master blaster can get his 100th International ton is by keeping his target a double century and not just a century. You see at present when his aim is to get a century he is ending up with 70,80 or 90 plus.If he keeps his eyes fixed on a double ton, even a 70 percent achievement will bring 140.Hey, buck up little master!

WHICH PREVIOUS TOUR?
by RAMKRISHNA AYYAPPA on Jan 22, 2012 11:27 PM  | Hide replies

IF YOU TAKE THE PREVIOUS AUSTRALIAN TOURS, INDIA HAS CAPITULATED ONLY WHEN AUSSIES WERE IN SOME PROBLEM OR OTHER. FOR EG. IN 1977-78 AUSTRALIA LOST SEVERAL PLAYERS TO KERRY PACKERS WORLD CRICKET AND BOBBY SIMPSON WHO HAD RETIRED 10 YEARS BACK IN 1967 HAD TO COME OUT OF RETIREMENT AND LEAD AUSTRALIA AT THE AGE OF 47 AND AUSSIES STILL MANAGED TO BEAT INDIA 3-2 BUT SERIES WAS CLOSER THAN THAT AND INDIA COULD HAVE WON 4-1. IN 1980-81 INDIA LOST THE SERIES TO A STRONG AUSSIE TEAM DESPITE A BRILLIANT WIN IN MELBOURNE DUE TO KAPIL DEV'S FAST BOWLING. IN 1985-86 RAIN ROBBED INDIA OF A SERIES WIN AGAINST AN AUSTRALIAN TEAM FULL OF NEW COMERS DUE TO RETIREMENT OF THEIR OLDER PLAYERS IN A BUNCH LIKE GREG CHAPPEL,ROD MARSH,KIM HUGHES,DENNIS LILLEE ETC. IN 1991-92 SERIES INDIA LOST 4-0 IN A 5 MATCH SERIES. IN 1999 INDIA WAS BEATEN BLACK AND BLUE AND WHITEWASHED 3-0 BY MCGRATH, WARNE & CO. IN 2003-04 INDIA MANAGED TO DRAW THE SERIES JUST BECAUSE MCGRATH WAS OUT FOR 6 MONTHS DUE TO BACK INJURY AND WARNE WAS SERVING A 2 YEAR BAN FOR DRUG ABUSE. IN 2007-08 SERIES MARRED BY CONTROVERSIES INDIA AGAIN LOST 2-1. SO YOU CAN SEE THAT INDIA HAS PERFORMED WELL ONLY WHEN AUSSIES ARE DOWN. SO WHEREFROM DOES TENDULKAR TAKE INSPIRATION?

Ramkrishna Ayyappa Keyboard Error:

"Capitulated"??? Or Capitalized?

And why did you suddenly stop on 2007-08 series? Because Sachin can take inspiration from there?

And thirdly, even Aussies have performed well only when Indians are down. Prove me wrong otherwise. All the matches Aussies lost, Indians were down. Take this series for example. If Indians were up, Aussies would have lost... ;-)

Unfortunately, Sachin's century has become more important than a win in the test. Sachin's selfishness for this century is exposed - plays defensive during ninetees and gets netted. He needs to be like Richards or Kapil Dev and not like Sunny and Ravi

Very true, and he should also have been fielding like Kapil Dev who started playing football as he could not bend down to field the ball once he was past 30 years.

The FOCUS, ATTENTION and the THR*UST TO WIN in Australia were deviated to SACHIN's 100 in the first test itself. And the G**O**D failed all opportunities and the fear and anxiety gripped the team and the SHARPNESS is gone. FEAR OF FAILURE IS RULING NOW.

It looks like that. Even the spineless selectors are afraid to utter a word against SRT. No body talks about his fielding. He is as good or as bad as Rahul Dravid/VVS Laxman
