And you should be...
by Chandan on Jan 28, 2012 05:49 AM

This Indian Loser cricket team should be given Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratan Award. The award named after the person who had nothing to do with sports is most appropriate for this team.

Why wasn't Kapil ashamed when he was part of the Indian team which lost 4-0 against Australia during 1991-92?

Betters
by Rajesh S on Jan 22, 2012 11:16 PM

Betters are now betting on not what will be the outcome of the last test, but as to how many days the test match will be played. Or how many overs it will take to bowl out 20 indian wickets. And how many indian batsmen will come up with single digit scores.

Guys
=====
Kapil devhi is a good man and good hearted person
no he has good understanding about the cahnged conditions and income levels of the cricket
=======================
what we need is good

administrative struct in BCCI
good checks and balances in cricket
we need more professional rep or inputs at board level
a white paper that defines policies and min agenda - how Indian team should prepare for both home and overseas tours
more use of tech in training ,feed back(hotspot tech)
more use of bowling machines to simulate the different bowling conditions abroad at home in indoor nets
-------
yes we need good atheletic pace bowlers like UMESH YADAV i do not beleive we need 145 mph
but with still 136 mph ,we need consistency and length

to do that
------
BCCI create a pace battery as a club of 4 to 5 bowlers in 3 reserve plus 2 playing at all times

make sure they attend sports inst and get feedback to avoid injury etc
----------------------------
the above will definetly change

please act just like LOKPAL bill if we sit quiete nothing will happen
something will happen if we act and also be UNITED AS WELL

Mr Rama Anne, make a universal team with universal fielders and ballers to ball to this universal legend and let you and your fellow universal cricket lover enjoy. But if anyone plays in team, the ultimate goal is to win for the team. You know, if any person fall in real love, he finds everything beautiful in his love and fails to apply logic in his emotion which many times goes against everybody's interest. I respect your emotion. But it may be for Sachin's personal interest, it can't be for any others interest.

AND MR.KAPIL NO NEED OF BEING ASHAMED
by powerful Goldstar on Jan 22, 2012 01:38 PM  | Hide replies

Kapil Mr, We all know your scores and batting provess against Fast and Swing bowling during the series the ones you played against Australia or South Africa. So Stop Cribbing and if you are really interested in improving Indian cricket, fight with BCCI using your influence and correct the reasons which is a public secret. Dont be a lion with the media

guys
he said as a cricketer he felt that way
---
let us introspect too ,and let us not hurt back Kapil for this
that also will be not in spirit as well

====
kapildevji is a good person ,I saw his interview with shekar gupta and he has explained very mature manner that income levels and opportunities have increased in cricket so let us appreciate him

so I request both Indian players and seniors to UNITE and be one VOICE

the least Indian fans want is a wedge because of one series

we do not need that
we need UNITY and see that we bounce back and stay UNITED so that we do not give into our enemies at all

Wonder how much you know cricket, Kapil scored 129 against south africa in 1993, an innings Kepler Wessels termed the most powerful hitting he has seen, against Allan donald, shaun pollock and the likes... In West Indies, against Roberts, Holding, Garner and Marshall he scored 100 not out out of which 99 was scored in one session.. Kapil Dev has every right to talk mate...

neither being overly cynical or overtly optimistic helps
-----
many indians want change

we all know what the politically powerful did with the LOKPAL bill

we also know people like suresh kalmadi deeds as well in CWG 2010
------
so we all fans should seek changes and improvements and ask the authorities to do the same
-----
if we are silent and stay quiete nothing happens
-------------------
eveb in CWg 2010 - Mani shankar aiyyar seems a lone dissent voice

but we did not pay heed to his objections that STADIA will not help INDIAN SPORTS at grassroots

we still do not care
---
who will acess STADIA at NEW DELhi only upper middle class Indians
---
likewise Cricket academies only some metro boys
-------
so how will sporting opportunities reach rural india at large ?

is it not why some Indians will use this to say only some upper castes has chance in sports why give chance to such wagging tongues ?

why we cannot be pro active - and get sports to all across India

after 2008 series - I made suggestions as well
by rama anne on Jan 22, 2012 01:20 PM  | Hide replies

immediately after 2008 series
------
I made some suggestions like
i)making mohali and nagpur green turfs
ii)make India - A team with yoping players and tour aust ,eng,sa etc

iii)purchase good bowling machines and construct wider indoor nets for the indian batsman to practise as well

Re: after 2008 series - I made suggestions as well
by rama anne on Jan 22, 2012 01:32 PM
also senior Indian players I posted several times to find out how michael slater made a show on bowling machines
----
the good thing is - Some ISRO could have made the ronotocs
WIPRO or TCs etc would have done the software as well
-------
so question is why we did not do ?
---------------
just saying replace senior players with young players will not change the reality at ground level
---
still they will struggle unless they are exposed tp the conditions abroad
================
so I disagree with GREG CHAPPEL theory to just replace seniors with youngsters
---
already
dravid plus laxman - quit 50 odis and 20-20 matches (internationals)
sachin also opted out many ODIS

so ample chance still for younger players too
-----------------------
aust system is different to india
so steve waugh etc could be replaced

---
because in aust

there is pura cup plis cricket academy and also in aust most players play hook and pull shots from early careers
-----
so just saying some semiors blpcling is not in the context unless
---
i) we allow our young players to be India a team and tour in their early career to - aust ,eng and sa

then allow them to enter from INDIA A TO INDIA team

not straughtaway
unfortunately BCCI has not planned such steps

so just attacking senior players and saying they are blocking etc is illogical at the best
====
also Iam hurt by Greg Chappel comments that Indians worship gurus is very out of the context and I

kapil dev

i have seen people here discussing here about 1992 4-0 tour. what i want to say to them are
1. they lost first two tests badly. first one was by 10 wkts and second by 8 wkts
2. they came back strongly in the 3rd test which was drawn bcos azarudin went with 4 pacers and no spinner. shastri with his left arm spin took 4 wkts in aus 2nd innings just tells the mistake. if india had taken 3 more wkts and scored 50 odd runs the match would have been ours. this was when shastri scored 208 and sachin 148 no
3. the 4th test would have been won if not for poor umpiring.
4. remember there was no third umpire and even runouts were decided by onfield umpires who were not neutral
SO DONT EVEN TRY TO COMPARE WITH THAT SERIES BCOS INDIA PERFORMED MUCH BETTER THAT TIME
