Not caste or region.

that has been the bane of TN cricket since independence. Its only Iyers and Iyengars who get chances. Occationally you will find a non-brahmin guy out of sheer talent (L Balaji is a good example)

India can beat / beaten by any side in the world

Big talk always follows loose talk and vice versa. We have seen that in Australia recently after the Aust - SA series and Aust - NZ series when Australia were humiliated and now after they(Aust) defeated India by 3 - 0 margin. These gaffes will continue.

Aussies will be routed 4-0...
by The Traveller on Jan 20, 2012 11:57 AM  | Hide replies

All this big talk and predictions for future will fall flat on their face once they tour sub-continent...
After the India tour gets over I feel some players analysis would read something like this :-

Clarke:- Not good enough to captain Australia.. string of poor scores....
Ponting and Hussey: should immediately retire to make way for youngsters...both r past their primes n cannot win games for australia...
Warner:- is not of test quality.. ony t20 player
Pattinson:- planning to quit test cricket to concentrate on ODI's and T2's...
Haddin: your loud mouth works only down under. Probably the worst wicketkeeper aussies had...
Hilfenhaus:- will soon realize that when the ball does not swing, there is no zing.
Ryan Harris:- will thank his stars, for there is something called IPL which he can always turn to, in times of need.
Nathan Lyon:- will fake injury after first test mauling and will head back home...(to prevent humiliation)
Siddle :- will fiddle with his responsibility. (he currently seems to be their strike bowler)

Also McGrath will never dare to make any 4-0 predictions..

Mickey Arthur would say our players were hamstrung and were feeling the effects.

Last but not the least, Dhoni would again be back with a bang and be right on top of world cricket with all fans and media going ga-ga...
till the next time India tours down under.........only to be thundered again.....

So moral of the story is: These days all teams r lions at home and cats away.. India is no exception..

Not necessarily true that all teams are lions at home. When Aus were #1 they won everywhere including 16 wins in a row 2 times. They also won a series in India 2-1 in 2003-04. Don't think India can beat them or any visiting team easily even at home. The recent series against 9th ranked WI team is proof. India almost lost the 3rd test scoring 242/9 in last innings. Even the first test was not won convincingly. Also remember WI scored 500 runs. It is not about loosing but the manner in which the Indian batting has been capitulating in recent 7 tests that is a worry. They lost 6 tests within 4 or less days and scored 300 only twice in last 18 innings abroad. This means the batting is only good on paper in away tests.

Well said, Nice composition.

But I fear Australia might not lose so badly as India have and they might be difficult to beat even in Indian soil, as they are more aggressive and professional than Indians are.
