And we are after our currently not in form players...Except SA no team is good or say evenly matched outside their home condition. Keep faith in the Indian team..Good job Pakistan..

We avenged ourselves by thrashing them 5-0 at home, you seem to have forgotten that.

5-0? Trace back history to 1932 to find how many times we have a 5-0 whitewash of a visiting Test team...

Its really heartening to see this English team bitting dust against Subcontinent team. Gramme Swann the f0ul m0uthed has nothing to say now. Within next few months england will slump down. Congrats to pakistan!!!

Ditto! I generally don't cheer for Pak, but this time I'm glad they crushed Eng in under 3 days. Hope the next 2 matches also finish in 3 days with innings defeats.

The Eng and Aussie fans have been talking too much trash recently.

Get rid of seniors..
by bigben bigben on Jan 19, 2012 08:02 PM

Now England should get rid of their senior players. Pietersen, Strauss, Anderson should retire immediately. They are playing only for personal records and they are traittors to their country. ECB is keeping them only to make money.

How can they lose to 6th or 7th ranked team inside 3 days? They only know to play in home conditions.

Where India stand
by paritosh chakraborty on Jan 19, 2012 07:56 PM  | Hide replies

Eng. became no.1 test team by defeating another No.1 team (India). Now the current no.1 team defeated comprehensibly by pakistan, and Ind. is beaten very badly by Australia which was beaten by SA , Nz. So one can easily understand where we stand out of the only ten test cricket plying nation in the world. Why we are so crazy abut this media made hype of Indian cricket. compare to cricketer the hocky player should give more attention as they have to play the game with more than 10 nation globaly.

All it proves is that nobody can predict about cricket. Most teams are evenly matched and have massive advantage in home conditions.

All the breastbeating by losers like you shows you understand nothing about cricket.

Go watch hockey. In US, Canada only girls play field hockey. There are 63 countries who are members of ICC by the way. I doubt so many countries play field hockey.

And talking about field hockey, we can't even easily qualify for Olympics or World Cups nowadays. We are like Bermuda or Canada in cricket.

ind is now here near the best team to b callled. its the mos t hyped team paid by media powerhouses to increase their trp.

alhough eng no.1 team is also beaten by lowly ranked pak, it doesnt undermine our underperormance in eng and ausi tours.

I was replying to Bigben Bigben who was pretending as if we've won ALL our test series by whitewashing South Africa in India.
I was merely replying that we've barely won 2 out of the 5 series we've played, and managed to draw the last two... Any more dreams?

Exactly! What makes bouncy and green pitches better than low and spinning tracks? Why is performing well in swinging/bouncing tracks any more important than performing in low, spinning tracks?

But the Indians with slavish mentality from 1000 years keep denigrating their own team like m0RRR0ns. How many world cups have England, South Africa or New Zealand won?

This cricket is such a silly game!
by hawaldar on Jan 19, 2012 05:25 PM  | Hide replies

This cricket is such a silly game! No other game gives this kind of home ground advantage as in Cricket! If you play in home ground you are most certain to win the game! Take Tennis, Soccer, Hockey, Chess, Athletics, etc... Only skill, strength and determination matters...

I think Cricket is also the only game which can be scripted (match fixing), because players and organizers have enough time (1 day, 5 days time) to make sure who wins and who loses!

Should Indians still support this silly game OR should we invest all this money and time on other useful things?

This game was played in Dubai. I don't know where is the home ground advantage. The teams were Pakistan and England, unless you want to include Pakistan into geographic limits of Dubai or vice versa.
