by sumit sharma on Jan 17, 2012 01:09 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Sunny is getting 4 crores for IPL that's why he is speaking in favor of it. Being a great player doesn't mean you are always right...I am sorry but this time you have got it wrong...IPL is spoiling indian cricket...

Bowling not Batting....
by man nu on Jan 17, 2012 01:04 PM

Reason of defeat at Australia is lack of promissing fast bowler. If we have bowling attack like England or Australia then aussies batsmen too out for cheap score.Which proved by England and Newzeland in theire erlier visit to Austalia.Such pich like in England/Aus/NewZeland needs qulity fast bowler which can bowled out under 250 of any team.So differenc is only bowling attack between India nad Australia not the batsman.

IPL to blame
by ravi rangari on Jan 17, 2012 01:03 PM  | Hide replies

The former players like Sunil Gavaskar,Ravi Shastri, Harsha Bhogle will never blame IPL for anything as they are the core part of IPL and good source of income. Its clear that IPL is the root cause of bad performance of Indian Test team. IPL did not bother about player's mental and physical tiredness even after world cup victory.

Playes to be blame
by silver mani on Jan 17, 2012 12:49 PM  | Hide replies

IPL owners did not dragged or forced our so called Cricketers from their Bedrooms to play in IPL.Our Cricketers are greedy ,thats the Bottomline. Now the Cricketer went to stage to Auction Themselves like Prostitutes, they dont have guts to say no to Enormous Money. Now Clarke straightaway rejected IPL because his priority was National Team,Can u name even 1 Indian Player who did the same?

Rightly said! On the contrary, we have seen people like Gambhir dropping out of England series to play CLT20.

Not IPL but All the Indian players did it during seventies 76-77 when so called packer circus event took place ...No one called otehrs pros titutes then in fact many laughed at Ind players for not having brains to earn money...etc Priorities change according to times...Clark had diff reasons as well to reject IPL..he was caught cheating in 2008 series..he preferred to sty away from Indian league ..But of course that doesnt mean to discredit his superb skippership and batting performance in this series...

Wrong Question and Wrong Answer
by A Singh on Jan 17, 2012 12:42 PM  | Hide replies

First of all, the question asked is inappropriate? "Is IPL responsible for poor Technique" is not the question to be asked. The right question should have been: "Is IPL responsible for the wrong approach towards Test Cricket?" The answer is an emphatic "YES". With the option of IPL available, who in his right frame of mind would like to toil in the hot sun for 5 days for a meager sum?
And Gavaskar's answer to the question asked is not honest; one should never expect an honest answer from him any way. The argument of Warner scoring runs does not hold much water, as scoring against India is no achievement. The Indian attack has brought form to desperate Ricky Ponting and Mike Hussey. If players are selected to play Test Matches on the strength of their performance in T-20 games, their technique will always be suspect.

Who was selected based on T20 games..?? Rohit , Suresh, Badri, VVS ..?? All current players played enough test matches and were selected based on their test performance..Not expecting honest ans from Sunny is lil too much to digest..Who else give honest ans show me one..? who else talk for players when needed..who else stood against Aus in 2008 cheating series..Cricket runs into Sunnys family...The guy knows cricket, Brilliant thinker ..its hard to erase his point logically and/or intellegently...
