Sachin,Please retire from both forms of Cricket..There are lot of youngsters who are looking for chances..I know you are in great form but there are lot of cricket players waiting for one chance to get into Cricket. There are lot of cricketers who resigned when they were in top form like GilChrist.

You too retire from whatever job you are doing because there is too much unemployment in the country. Others also deserve the chance.

Sachin is 39 and he has to retire. When I m 55 , I have to retire and give some one else a chance. I cant still stay in my office after 55

Sachin is not a match winner in Test.Yes he was good in one-dayers during the period 1996 -2000.At this point , we need a fresh team that can carry Indian cricket to next stage.. If Sachin would have played in Australia he could have retired by now..Hope you know what happened to Steve Waugh...Even though Steve Waugh was the person behind Australia's success , the management sacked him

what are you saying ..Kohli failed in 3 test and did somewhat good in the last innings where he got 75 runs..He is more of a 1 day player than test player

Fact is We level series because of Akash Chopra in 2003-04. His highest was 48 & it was held against him that he never made half century, but he battled atleast 1 hour for all 8 inninings,,,, sometime up to lunch.
He played with straight bat & provided support to Shewag , but Ganguly-Shewag throw him out.
So now this is result!
Shewag didn't play first two test in 2007-8 series

If batting for 1 hr only is the criteria then I think Sakshi Dhoni could also play for India along with Anjali Tendulkar.

Problem is any Tendulakar is unable to bat before lunch on opening day. You need specialist on Opening day pre lunch session. A Rahane will do better than Gambir
Gambhir- You are paid to perform on cricket field. Thats the only place where you can earn your respect and adulation of cricket mad nation like us.
So don't get into making meaningless statements if you don't mean it. We will be more than happy to see you perform on the field. The best that you can do for now is to introspect your own and team India's strategy and try to bounce back without further damage.
This happens and it's an eye opener. Will the BCCI and Indian Team management learn from mistakes?
Let the Test Players stop playing IPL. Also let's groom fast bowlers by creating seamer friendly pitches even while they play Ranji.
Lastly - where is SPIN bowling? We all grew up seeing that as our asset and today not a single SPIN bolwer in the pipeline to take over Kumble or Harabajan's absence.
Ashwin is good but not great, we will need a classic leg spinner and he will need to be nurtured.
Commercialization of cricket has detroyed it for India - Ponting opted out of IPL to save his Test and One Day career - how many Indian greats will do that?
These so called about to be "Retired" Players fate should be decided by "Selection" Commitee not by "Players". These "Powerful" & "Arrogant" players are playing for "Nation" & not for there "Family" to decide. These players are "Earning" Crores of Rupees & should not be shown any "Sympathy" after giving so many "Chances". I believe "VVS" is made "Scapegoat" & he is not "Earning" much as Compared to the "Powerful" Trio of "Sachin","Sehwag" & "Dhoni".

Sehwag and Dhoni dont deserve their places in the TEST side. They dont have the backbone to bat even an session.
A Player like "Rayadu" should have been "Groomed" who plays like "Dhoni".. But "Dhoni" Refused to include "Rayadu" & Rather Included "Partiv" & "Saha",the 2 will never reach the level of "Batsmanship" & "Dhonis" position is "Safe"....... The "Understanding" between "Dhoni" & "Srikant" is GR8 to help "Dhoni" Consolidate his Position & not Think from "Nations" Perspective. Same "Logic" with "Sachin",saw "Rohit Sharma" as "Threat" to his "Position" in "Team",immediately included in "IPL-MI" with "Hefty" paypackage. "Srikant" is a "Lameduck" in the hands of "Powerful" & "Arrogant" plaers such as "Sachin","Dhoni" & "Sehwag" who are "Controlling "Team India" & "Earning" almost "90%" of "Team India". "Srikant" is not thinking from "Nations" perspective,the prime Example is "Inclusion" of "Vinay Kumar" in the Side. "Sachin" has "Balanced" all the things in "Life" except "India" Losing Consistently. "Selection" should be done from "Nations" Perspective not from "Individual PLayers" Perspective who are "Earning" Crores of "Rupees". Playing "Cricket" should be like "Service" for "Nation". Bottom line is "Srikant" is a "Weak" Person like our "Prime Minister" & dont have "Mandate" to Take "Decisions".
To bring all the overhyped cricketers down to earth. There was too much hype, too much craziness and too much awe towards cricketers.. i think great deal of the advt contracts should be awarded to other sporting personailties as well..
We are sick of Dhoni exhibiting the helicopter shots and Sachin advertising for Toshiba, MRF and running around in his living room promoting ITC biscuits or for "boost".
This should STOP once for all, after the great debacle down under...
And should stop until they perform well in England, SA and Australia and recapture the No 1 status...
guys dont get fooled around by MNCs which just play on the people's sensitivities and promoting their products big time.. I shudder to think about the viewers plight if Indians have even managed to draw couple of test matches in England and Australia..
