i want
by zubair shighrekar on Jan 16, 2012 01:14 PM  | Hide replies

i want to see team india at the bottom in the rankings so that our BCCI, our selectors and our players realised what they are doing and where they stand at the international level

when bcci started ipl i was sure that it will ruin the cricket in the longer term today we are looking at players like gayle and malinga who went against their boards and chose the shorter format just to extend their career.

dhoni has gave the signal that he may retire from tests so that he can play more and more odi and t-20 soon others will follow suit and in near future you will see players will stay away from test cricket and will chose t-20 and ipl and champions league

Dont think either bcci or test cricketers are going to be unduly worried or shamed by these defeats. They both earn their money from IPL for which you and I pay top dollars to watch. Only if IPL loses its glamour and revenue, can we expect a overhaul in the attitude of our team. See what bcci president has already said about these ignominious losses..

Collective failure

India is a collective failure
as a nation and the indian
pride (cricket team) just
an expression of that.

Win and Loose is a part of a game, don't draw any parallels with game and failure of a nation.

Your Wisdumb is showing.
What team India suffered is
not just a defeat but a terrible
attitudinal self esteem hang up.
They never fought.

I'd suggest South Africa is better. That's where Test Century number 51 came from...

The BCCI and the Indian cricketers are concentrating on money alone...India would not have been world chanpions if the tourament was played on foreign soil! They will surely get a bashing in the ODI series too...just wait and watch these bafoons getting wipped at their rares again!!!

Yes, in retrospect it will not be far from truth that India were world champions only by fluke, they don't really deserve it

miviu well said.
Too much is being read.
It is game where are players have hit a low right now. Some changes and a win will change all that. All teams go through lows but ours is getting consistently battered right now. Hope that will change fast.
I see some TV anchors braying for the players blood. Hyper reactions and sheer amputations are not the answer.
It will have to be systemic and calculated change. Those at the helm of selections will, I am sure take steps. Such great players should not be disgraced by rude comments. Which of them will like to fail? If they are not doing well give them rest but at least be civil about it. Most of us talk in passion and identify in their achievements and failures as our own.Pride or the shattering of it, should not fuel verbal violence!!

Being praised by the
opponent team is far
greater than winning
a game.

Being sympathized by
the opponent team is
far worse than losing
a game.
