You can not hammer a dead person
by NIRJHAR MAJUMDAR on Jan 16, 2012 02:11 PM  | Hide replies

India are already beaten black and blue. How can you hammer them.Send them to India.
Let this be an occasion to start encouraging other sports the way we did that for cricket.

I dont agree with you.. Look at our team performance under coach Kirsten.. we did excel and even won the world cup.. and would say this was due to the coach Kirsten bring the team together and showing the right way. Now with Fletcher, the story seems to be a repeat of Chappel.. Look at Fletchers face.. morose and not at all encouraging.. I feel it is not the mistake of Dhoni and the boys but of wrong guidance from the coach. They should sack Fletcher and not our seniors players. Our senior players have proved that they are worth their weight in gold but with wrong guidance .. this have gone all wrong..

if it is poor show from players.. what ll coach do? He can't come and bat for sehwag or gambhir?.. His role is to point out their flaws in batting.. only they have to rectify.. These guys having number of test runs on their back and still getting out by flashin the bat like kid...

No comfort for Indian players...
by B M on Jan 16, 2012 01:53 PM  | Hide replies

When Pakis lose in this manner, its because of match fixing. No one says they are incompetent. Allegations of match fixing are less humiliating than someone calling the team incompetent. Indian team does have the comfort of their defeat being blamed on match fixing!

Does is really matters for fans of some cricketers?
by Prakash Mudholkar on Jan 16, 2012 01:52 PM  | Hide replies

Whether India wins or loses hardly matters for fans of some cricketers who only want 100th 100 and nothing else?

So all the coaches and playes of other countries are also mouthpiece of Sachin. Though his form has not been exceptional, see the comment. Sachin has been in outstanding form. What a statement.

A correction my friend. Outstanding form alone does not matter. A truly match saving player may not score 100 runs, but saves his team from a defeat. At least saves his team from a disgraceful defeat.

See Wasim Akram. Even Imran Khan said that Akram was his trump card and whenever he wanted Akram to deliver the goods, he did.

Can the same be said about our world class batsman who could not save his team in 3 tests?
