What we need.
by mahesh gupta on Jan 15, 2012 07:26 PM

1. We need at least 5 good pacers who can bowl daunting line and length. Our batsman practice in nets with these dumbs who now and then bowl down the leg side.(That's why our leg side is so strong)

2. Make green turfs to get our batsmen exposed to such wickets in domestic cricket.

3. Build good positive youngsters who don't get panicked by failures.

I want India to loose 4-0. If these oldies get to perform all of a sudden than again we retain them saying they have an year left. Look at Dravid he has taken retirement from One day as a rebel and now he will be thrown out of test

Change wickets in domestic
by mahesh gupta on Jan 15, 2012 07:15 PM  | Hide replies

We should make green turfs for domestic matches. Spinners are dead now. I don't see Murali, Warne or Kumble like spinners coming out. It's time to build pacers. Even on Indian wickets we can beat W.Indies with these spinners otherwise spinner should be there just for last day or giving rest to fast bowlers

where we will win?
Nobody give up its strength.
But excuses are like we never win abroad.
A frontline spinner want bowl to turn from day 1 is realy bad & no action from BCCI.
He is included in AUS, not taking wickets & promoted as all rounder

Ashw was ciriticizing the mumbai pitch as well as pitches here... Ask him to watch stats of 2003 and 2007 series and tell him the number of wickets taken by kumble on the australian soil... Let him learn the off break bowling first ..

ther reason
by suhail khan on Jan 15, 2012 05:08 PM  | Hide replies

the only reason is the attitude of dhoni. his callous attitude and arrogancy of focussing only in India is the reason for this loss. this attitude is being absorbed by the younger players too now. The "oldies" are atleast trying, what are the youngsters doing??

Youngsters are better looking. Gambhir tried well and Kohli even though he has pressure for his place after two test did proved his worth on fastest wicket of world.

no one is invincible.
narayan murthy inspite of taking infy to such a new high retires at some stage, even if he cud continue.

ratan tata cud continue but declared his retirement, even though he is considered best not in ind but among world.

but our gr8s (!) dont think of retirement even after playing for the country(!) for such a long time. let the yungsters gv chance, they may perform better. even if they dont, whats the harm, one day or the other, oldies had to retire, then y not now. let them feel the sentiments of ind ppl. if u dont gv chances n opportunities, how wud yungstrs excel?
all dravid (after so many failures in odi), sachin ( after so many century less tests), laxman had to take their own timeto score their centuries.

drop all 3 oldies its right time.

Mahender Singh I am not for your retirement
by Varma on Jan 15, 2012 04:30 PM

Please try to convince the respected BCCI that India don"t need the flat tracks anymore.Tracks should become like railway line.Crowd will enjoy as well.Equipment have to be adjusted as the ball will become unpredictable.Overseas performance will improve.

compulsory retirement to 3 oldies including sachin.
by vinay on Jan 15, 2012 04:27 PM  | Hide replies

y spare sachin it shud b compulsory retirement to 3 oldies including sachin.
whether 1 is scoring runs or not, now its time to get retirement to all3 oldies.
unless u gv chances, how vl youngsters perform?
even ausis team faced some problems after hayden, gilly, langer, mcgrath retirement, but within a few months, they recovered. who had foreseen stellar performances of pattinson, haris, cummins, just a couple of months back n mcgrath is forgotten. isnt it?

so no more excuses. just retire all 3 oldies including sachin. as for sachin so-callled next century, he may completein some odi. he nnedsnot play tests now. plz gv chances to others.. there rmany waiting in the wing.

just as initial perseverence with dravid gave him confidence, similarly persistence with kohli, pujara etc. vl gv them confidence, n v can build new team.

This is not a government job. Sachin is still better than the youngsters not only from India but around the world
