PLAY BOTH VIRAT &ROHIT AND A FIFTH BOWLER
by damodaran mohan on Jan 12, 2012 05:19 PM  | Hide replies

So far while Dravid and Virat have been getting out to very good balls and in fact Virat was unlucky also to get rough decision.Dhoni of course is the Captain. On the other hand four batsmen, namely Sehwag,Gambhir, Sachin and Laxman have been batting most irresponsibly and also getting out at most imappropriate times.Hence the team management must give option to the four for any two to voluntarily opt out for the Perth Test.In case no one opts out then there should be a lottery to rest two of the four as all the four have been equally good or bad.Rohit can replace the one dropping out and another fifth bowler can replace the 2nd man dropping out. Idea is both Virat and Rohit must play and a fifth bowler also plays. It could be Ojha or A.Mithun.

If you don't like the opinion then tell what is flawed in that opinion and state your opinion. Don't attack the person.

dhoni wanting to retire by 2013 ..
by D S on Jan 12, 2012 02:32 PM  | Hide replies

TOO MUCH politics, he know getting players in team IS NOT ON BASIS OF TALENT ANY MORE.why
cannot they see it clearly, it is Ojha that need to in team and ashwin
can be rested, kohli goes for rest and rohit comes in. BUTTTTTTTT we
have POLITICS as usual, not the game.

point taken,

ashwin has the height of laxman and can be trained into middle order batsmen by tendu and laxman to negotiate the rising better and has bigger reach with front and back.

ashwin can play well when main bowlers are tired and ball is old. in any case, he does play better than current middle order, so should we replace him for kohli and get ojha for real spinner specialist.
We can have rohit because we are never sure of gambhir, kohli and sehwag...

If Ashwin is rested, India will not even cross 200 in any of their innings.
as for Ojha, he cannot bat even for 1 over. and his bowling outside sub-continent is very ineffective.

Everybody is talking about Rohit as if he is the next Sir Vivian Richards.
If included in Perth test I bet he would not reach double figure.

Opener should be Ashwin...
Who is this vijay kumar??
or r u referring to that frail Vinay Kumar.... if so I think he will end up scoring a double century but from the bowlers point of view.

good to see
by Indian on Jan 12, 2012 02:03 PM  | Hide replies

it will interesting to see indians dance on the fast bouncy wicket of WACA.
The sad thing is we do not get enough to see Indian team bat.
The moment u turn on the TV in the morning, indians r back in pavilion and aussies r batting. and who in the world would want to see our malnourished kids bowl.
