ponting will not enjoy the same against other opposition.
Also The Entire Austrlian Team for that matter,
if they play against good teams like SA , England also NZ troubled them.

Gurjot Singh:

Isn't that what you said before the Melbourne match and Sydney match? Or did you predict a big 100 from him in Sydney?

Hi AP!
I will make the following predictions about Perth:
1. Pointing will not score 50
2. Sachin will get his 100th 100
3. Viru will torment Australians
4. VVS and Dravid will have decent score
5. India will at least secure a draw and will win if Australia bats first
6. THERE WILL BE NO WHITEWASH

Ponting should thank India

Had he played with any other country he would have been chucked out by now. Indians are generous and they make batsmen return to form

Pointing is always tentetive while facing first few overs. That was the case with him even when he was in prime form. In all three innings of the current series, Pointing had come to the crease when first two wickets had fallen quite cheaply. That was the time for Dhoni to attack out-of-form Pointing with attacking field coupled with aggression. But alas, our bowlers as well as our captain did not do that. The result is two fiftees and one century by Pointing in three innings!

remember Tony Mann of Australia scored a century against india,
he came as a night watchman & went on to score a century.

Anand ,
My memory is failing me - but was it Tony Mann or was it Peter Toohey who did that against us ? You're referring to 1977 - 78 right ?

Irrespective of Mann....Toohey was certainly no nightwatchman since he was not a bowler.

by jaguar on Jan 11, 2012 07:10 PM

As expected,Ponting got his second wind like sachin and dravid before he calls his day.. he may play for a couple of yrs more, get more tons/runs.. thanks to the lackluste indian bowling attack to make it happen.

Pointing says, No Mery for India

Now Please my fellow countrymen take up the challenge or dump the game. Let's focus on other games

Sanjay, next outing for India is in the end of 2013. Apart from Srilanka tour & Asia Cup in Bangladesh (subcontinental pitches) rest all series are in India (England/Nz/IPL/Pakistan). India will win on the subcontinental pitches, and YOU will come back here praising the Indian team!
