Team India

As a captain, MSD is the best currently India have. U don't have any other better options right now. He had achieved everything as a captain and u can't doubt his skills as a captain..he may have some errors at Eng & Aus series,,but a captain is as good only as his team..The Team India needs to introspect itself for now and finds the root cause of the debacles instead of blaming individuals players because it's the TEAM INDIA COLLECTIVE FAILURE not an Individual's one..

Revised for Readers pleasure

before removing Rahul and Laxman rest them; in the mean time Rohit, Sehwag & Raina could be given 1 last chance.

Hope this clarifies Anands thoughts

Why India is losing
by Ajay Sharma on Jan 10, 2012 06:35 PM  | Hide replies

Ten Reasons
1. Dhoni is ever best captain for India. He has shown 100 times but he needs the support from other players also. India is losing because lack of application is being shown by Indian Batsman
No. 1 - Rahul Dravid - He is no more wall for India even he scores a century His footwork is not as good as five year back and his scoring rate India can either lose the match or draw
2. VVS Laxman:Very very lucky, Australian are much wiser. Now they have understood why laxman score here. Now they are bowling fulllength delivery to him and we all know how is his footwork. for last 20 twenty away innings his average is 20. So there is no reason to be a part of the team. He must be dropped instead of Virat Kohli.because he has great future ahead
3.

a captain should lead from the front..dhoni is an amateur test player..he lacks technique to succeed at this level..should relinquish his captaincy immediately to avoid any embarrassment..

I think by not reacting to anybody's failure or not getting excited with the success of any player, Dhoni has been a success for the team as the captain. He is surely a professional cricketeer fully realising the equations in the team and allowing a space to everyone for delivering or even laern from their own mistakes which I am sure as adults, everybody knows where he has gone wrong. That is how, success has chased him. He knows that the whole world is watching each player more so when u r representing India. U r being noticed and judged by a billion of fans almost. Here everybody is a learned cricket analyst as if he or she is a veteran player. So Dhoni knows he does not have to do much , u get ur due from the public gazes and the kind of loud clamour u here from all around. That is his success mantra, It takes only one or two bad show in the filed and unless u r likes of Sachin, u get ur due.

Dhoni 's judgement in taking batting at Sydney was gross mistake after winning toss, particularly when u boast of a famed batting line-up , or atleast on paper. More so when u surely know that we play better with lesser pressure

After wining the series abroad Ganguly lost his captain ship with out any cricket reason. wining series no other in India lost his captain ship. But BCCI did it,then why not for Dhoni. Even Kapildev had lost his captainship just after one series winning the World Cup 1983 after defeat against West Indies.Ganguly was forced to take his retirement though in that particular series and even before that he was playing brilliantly due to his age, then why not Dravid and Laxman? We should not forget Virat Kohli,Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Manoj Tewari are our FUTURE they must be given chance instead of Dravid, Laxman even SACHIN and SEWAG

We miss you Kumble
by Andy on Jan 10, 2012 06:17 PM  | Hide replies

I know many people hate Kumble in India itself. But I am behind you, you are the unsung hero.

The last time when India toured Australia Kumble was captain, Kumble and Bhajji did good job as main attacking bowlers. India inspite of losing first test fought back and gave a tough fight in Sydney but lost due to poor umpiring (Steve Buckner and another Aussie umpire). But it was in Perth were India stood up and won the match. Hats off to Kumble and his team. Kumble was very aggressive unlike Dhoni. Even Ganguly inspite his poor form during his term as captain had captained well abroad. Indians atleast used to draw the test match.

Now under Dhoni's captaincy he has forgotten how to draw the Test Match. You can blame him either because of his captaincy, overconfidence, overseas jinx or IPL. But the condition of India has gone worser now. They only know to show middle fingers at crowds.

Even Ashwin bats better than Kohli, Dhoni. Shame on this batsmen. Ashwin is very inexperienced and needs to work a lot as bowler. Perth will definitely not suit him. He needs to work a lot to come near Kumble's level.

Let Zaheer do his bowling talk
by pradeep agarwal on Jan 10, 2012 06:00 PM

He will do India proud by responding to Aussies on field. The team is behaving like a school boys eleven against a second grade Australia-X1 & yet acting macho which is making them a matter of laughing stock.BTW let us not start this century of 100 joke before every test as it is not going to happen in this decade.
