Cricket performance abroad
by VIJAY RAMAKRISHNAN on Jan 11, 2012 07:09 AM

Our present team should take inspiration of the previous team when it battled against all odds to score a world record 406 for four( at that time ) to defeat West Indies facing the might of bowlers like Joel Garner, Michael Holding, Andy Roberts and team. They had the guts and if I remember correctly Anshuman Gaekwad played wit a broken jaw. It is things like you should not get shamed and the country should not get shamed, which inspires people. With crass commercialization of the sport, and cricketers earning crores, more importance is given to earning money through this game than the game itself and BCCI and the company sponsors are to be blamed for this. The cricketers can earn their bucks but it should be subject to overseas performance. And to call the performance, very politely, till right now has been spineless. Still, I wish them all the best for the rest of the tour.

A little bit of humility will serve Australia well. They had a hard time scoring 30 even recently.

Doesnt the same apply to us (Indians)? Before the series started, Rohit Sharma started barking that Aussies dont know how to face swinging deliveries. What experience doe he have in test cricket?

when are these jJokers going to announce the 11

otherwise, they will play without a proper plan and mechanics or without proper strategy for the 11. Not knowing who is the 11 until the end.

hope it not the same sShytee political team. Selectors should show intent that they are trying ... not sitting on their aArseee and carried away by political gangups.

Hussey is the one who says india can bounce because he want to keep the same rRascals to slam.

Indian Cricketers are lazy and they do not have intensity to win for their country. They will perform well in advertisements wheere they will bat, bowl and field like super humans.
