well, it might be true, but he played almost at the same time lance got retired and chris made his debut 3 years later..
I would like to bring to your notice one more pair that has played against India. Chris Broad and Stuart Broad. Chris played against India in 1984 - 85 Series and Stuart Broad is currently playing since 2007 and has played more than one series against India
