you know what guys he is a greatest clever and canning person I hv ever seen.he will not left IPL bcoz through IPL he will get lots of money by private frenchises but in test cricket there is a limited income.I really dont understand what is he doing in team INDIA,he has no skills of batting,he does not know how to bat at all, whatever he has today, its because of his luck not his talent,he has no talent at all.he is a good captain bcoz team INDIA is performing well, but individually he did nothing in 85% matches,so he immediately takes the retirement from the all format of cricked."DHARTI KA AUR TEAM INDIA KA BURDEN MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI"

There is no doubt Dhoni is a great ODI, T20 captain.
lets give him some more chance to prove that in tests...

And regardless, at gthis point we dont have anyone amaongst the next gen cricketers who can take captaincy anyways...
Forget being a captaincy material, we dont even have an established player whose place is certain in the indian team next 2-3 years, amongst next gen players that is...

Gambhir: first let him prove his captainship credenetials in T20 etc
Sehwag: I never thought sehwag to be a captaincy material, moreover i dont want his battign style to be affected by beign a captain.
Kohli: defintely looks to be future captain, but let him worry about his battign down under at the moment and establish himself better in the test team.

Zaheer: not applicable; he is amongst the most established players but breaks down now and then ...

So ..whether we like it not, we have no choice but to let Dhoni continue...

Well if he is not the captain of test team he is not in the team also. performance wise he did not make any runs in test match, plus keeping is also poor. Leadership skill is also missing in Test matches. then why you need that? because he won matches in T20 and one day. even Gambhir has better record then him.

captain cool as become captain fool....!!!
No wonder we indians are being known for poor memory power....
Historically indian captains (who are usually only batsmen) show a downward trend over a period. Btw ppl should ask themselves who else is capable of leading India bravely other than MSD at this moment. Any good suggestions are most welcome.

Dhoni has not performed overseas and has forgotten how to bat. When his counterpart can score a triple ton he should have scored at least three runs. He got out at 2 . Shame. Going on international tours with the wives should immediately be stooped . The players are busy in sight seeing and making merry with their better halves. Playing cricket becomes secondary

Dhoni should continue, even with 0-4 result

I think the form of Gambhir is critical and his technique is quite solid. Dhoni cannot do much about it.

The usual talk of poor batting technique is a mental ploy. Gambhir has scored well in NZ and SA and India almost won the series in the last SA tour.

India's rise over the last few years has been because of Gambhir and Sehwag scoring runs along with Dravid to keep Sachin and the lower middle order from the new ball.

Since the last England tour, the top order has been out of sync and with not enough runs on the board the bowling attack has been under pressure. The important thing is to not lose a wicket too early, because overseas totals are smaller compared to India. Because of this trend the media tends to mentally psych the players into thinking poor technique.

We cannot blame the Indian batting greats for our overseas performances. Zaheer fitness issues and poor support bowling has also caused losses. The parallel development of a world class bowling attack was never considered and India for most of the time managed to survive just on strong middle order.

The attack of Ishant, Yadav and Varun along with a spinner like Rahul Sharma or Monish Parmar who is in the class of Murali wiil give India the new look Test attack capable of winning Tests abroad more frequently than in the 2000-2010 time frame which was already improved from the 1990-2000 time frame.

Dear Nikhil, I think you are kid in cricket knowledge. Dhoni has not taken any good tactical decision. There are no. of places where he has to show his skills. forget about other players performance. All big pandits also told that he is not good leader in test matches. If you see history of Sydny test, whoever bat second has advantage but this brainless person took bat first after wining the toss. Even he drop very critical catches in Eng. here in first test he did not stay on pitch for 10 overs? somehow on batting tracks he stay on second test match. If he would have scored same runs on first test match (on good wickets ) who know india would have won that match. so net net he got good result on Indian roads (pitches) and for that he did not need any skills. Gambhir also won 9 one-day out of 10 in which he did captain ship . because all matches are played on road.
