Mr Ganguly - Be fair
by Kamal on Jan 09, 2012 08:07 AM  | Hide replies

Forget Ashwin as a bowler. He has been consistently batting well, better than seasoned batsmen in the team. Why should we drop him? Ridiculous your statement is.

I think ganguly couldnt stand that a young bowler is making more runs than what he scored in australia :)

If you are selected as a bowler, then do the job of bowler... see the kumble's record in aus last tour and previous tour,, don make immature statements like ashwin by telling nothing in the pitch

Frustrated Ganguly...
by Cool Kanaiya on Jan 09, 2012 07:44 AM  | Hide replies

Surely, he has the right to comment on whatever he feels like and its up to the public to determine whether to take it or not. His recent comments whether on Ashwin or senior cricketers shows his frustration and jeolousy after not even being able to make it into IPL in his own state team. Ashwin is a young cricketer and has shown real fighting spirits on very spinner unfriendly wickets. India's main problem apart from the Australian innings of Sydney test, has been the batting and right said by Dhoni and Srikanth. So, if at all there needs to be a change, it has to be a batsman who can take on Australian bowlers. Ashwin, even if he is not taking wickets got to remain on the team as he has batted better than most of the top 6 batsman. So, if Ojha or any bowler needs to find a place, it will be at the cost of one of the top six batsman. Considering, Perth is a fast bowlers wicket, Ojha unfortunately may not be suitable and the current bowling unit is best suited in my opinion. Indian batting at the top order has to click and I would stick with the same team at least for one more test.

Awesome answer Mr Cool. Ganguly has shown his true colors of being partisan and political. He should just stick to his job rather than trying to manipulate others. When Wasim was impressed with Ashwin, Gangu kept belittling Ashwin. Gangu has become a gan*u !!

when did Mcgrath shine in sub continent? How many centuries can Tendulkar boast of in Aus? When did Ganguly slay fast bowlers like Shane Bond/McGrath?

But still "Guest ki Aulaadh" , dont ask for statistics of Ashwin after 2 matches in Aus, cos if you asked the avg of 10dulkar after his first match, it will be 0.

Why dont you guys admit that this Indian team is not worth and who ever comes in, they are waste. Do you think bringing in Ojha will make us win hahahahaha. Listen no Indian batsman can play fast bowling and we will get hammered. We are only tigers are home and mice abroad

same is the case with any team. Any team has the advantage on their home ground. England was white washed in India if you remember.

Absolutely stunning , Mr Ganguly!
by Face Dude on Jan 09, 2012 06:13 AM  | Hide replies

Ganguly - I am amazed at how you can throw such nuggets of wisdom so frequently.. How many wickets fell to spinners in Australia? All the indian wickets have fallen to pace bowlers except for Sachin;s wicket - taken by clarke.. when the wicket is not going to help spinners how will they take wickets? Atleast Ashwin scored 60 runs to help India reach 400. Will ohja be able to do that?

Think before you talk, Mr Ganguly.. dont show your ignorance of the field.. on the field we already know..!!

Don't blame Ganguly for poor performance of Indian Cricketers. It is a well known fact the fighting spirit of Indian Cricket was spearheaded only by Ganguly. As a captain still he is the best presentation of India on foreign grounds and also as fast blowing batsman. Yoy should not forget the maiden centuries of Ganguly at Lords in his much delayed , politically(indian cricket-now south indian politics) motivated carrier start. It is unfortunate people kike you in India who has nothing to give but only to take can blame like Ganguly.

I dont know why indian cricket fraternity are vying for Rohit instead of Rahane,Pujara who posses better track record compared to Rahane,Pujara. Is it because Rohit is recommendation candidate?

as a commentator ganguly needs 2 b
impartial and has to quote on the match
as a captain he supported players like yuvaraj, zaheer, pathan, sehwag, kaif, bhajji
none of them r 4m west bengal
so u better dont question a great player

Dear Priya, You change anyone and nothing will change. We cannot win any series abrod and the whole world laughs and know how ganguly plays bouncers. Infact no indian batsman has the potential. We are just paper tigers and for past 25 years have been the same. You bark bark and nothing gonna change. Flat Pitch record holders and on bouncy pitches the underwear of Indian cricketers get wet.

Ganguly, why this kolaveri against Ashwin?
by sundar vel on Jan 09, 2012 01:45 AM  | Hide replies

Ganguly, why this kolaveri against Ashwin? Cos he scores more than what is expected from a No7 batsman? Cos he was just supposed to be a bowler and score 1 or 2 runs like ur protege Ajit Agarkar? Or u want to see ur chamcha Bhajji play in test team? When he was playing well against all the aussie bowlers, you kept commenting that aussies should bowl short balls to Ashwin as he doesnt play that well...man... u r an .....( i dont want to bad mouth you as I was ur big fan, but not now). Why cant you question the batting skills of any freaking top order batsmen who failed to score even 1/3rd of Ashwin's score?? And last of all did u leave ur prudence at Kolkatta when u boarded the flight to Aus? cos you are expecting a spinner to take wickets in pace friendly green tops ; look at Ashwin's average dude.. and start behaving like a mature former player. Regional bias and favoritism doesnt do any good for your stature.

Stop socking ganguly's Oss.Going by the argument of you guys, even none of the other indian bowlers like zaheer, yadav, ishant didnt take any wickets, so we should drop them as well and bring in Vinay, Sreeshant and any funny guy from WB. Domb fckers!!

Ashwin should have understood that he cannot take wickets in Australia just as in India where the pitch is totally diff. Ojha will be in effective . Already we have several spinners such as Yadav, Vinay Kumar, Zaheer khan so I think they can bowl.
