@No answer lies in use of improving Technique with technology

Not correct Golden Era of Indian Batting is not over unless we learn and improve effective use of TECHNIQUES with the aid of Technologies
====================
Let me Explain
Take Indian Hockey or Even Pak Hockey teams both peaked in late 1930s and 1940s and won OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALS

But soon after SYNTHETIC SURFACE was introduced ,both PAK and India did not win any major World Title or Even Olympic medals ,barring some Azah Shah CUP at Kualalumpur Malaysia

so why did they fade away
===================
Is it due to lack of SKILL ? Answer is a big NO
Too Many Old players in the TEAM? Answer is a big NO
actual reasons
--------
Indians Grassroots did not keep up with changed surface means Indian school grounds are not simply equipped with Synthetic Surafces

ii)Also all European ,Asia pacific teams like
Germany
Spain
Australia
etc
Improved with better use of technology in coaching methods
access to better ground facilities and Coaches who used Technology ,Fitness as a holistic view
========================
INDIAN CRICKET
------
It is well known from a very long time ,starting with Martin Crowe ,Richard Hadlee ,Ian Botham times etc
whole cricketing world knows INDIAN BATSMEN are vulnerable to Bouncy Tracks

Having said that
----
what did BCCI do to get it right as a long time measure
Did it atleast make attempts to create atleast two tracks in new stadiums like MOHALI OR NAGPUR to match bouncy tracks like Gabba or MCG or waca etc -

Also AUSTRALIA raises the bar constantly in using TECHNOLOGY effectively with Training
---
For example
They use BOWLING MACHINE at nets to practise batting

so given that Aussie bowlers ,SA bowlers and the latest English bowlers are Tall and lanky with physique and match the deliveries with min speed of 140 plus MPH

The reaction window for batsmen is very short duration
That is why SKILL alone will not suffice ,we need the help of Technologies with Training
-------------
Solution is
---------
BCCI build next to Major Indian stadiums - both an annexure Indoor plus Outdoor NETS
These Nets should have Hotspot tech plus Bowling Machines and ofcourse Canteen facilities

---
Then Indian Batsmen could practise with those Facilities

also we need to import Curators and create Bouncy Tracks at home atleast 2
============
Take whole Indian cricket history
many like
Atul Wason
Vivek Razdans
Wasim Jaffer
Manoj Tiwaris
Pujara
SS DAS etc
came and perhaps went away why ?
Lack of skill - again it is a big NO

it is because ,we did not match up with improving techniques for those players when they made into Indian team (Sachin is different player and special case as well)

AT 37 FOR3,India had every chance of bouncing back but Dhoni by not employing a short leg for both Clarke&Ponting literally played into the Aussie Hands.Fortunately you do not have to get up at 5AM.Who would like to get up and see such listless performance.Whether he scires or not Laxman,Kohli and Gambhir do not desrve a place for the third test.

the fact that Indian batsmen are indeed flat track bullies. But the thing is Aussies ,English or the south afrikans too are seaming track rhinos. They are world champs in their home conditions and we are world champs in our conditions. All happies

What is ailing Indian batting, though apparantly very strong ?
by Subramanian Lakshmanan on Jan 04, 2012 03:49 PM

Even in the school level, the first 4 batsmen cannot compromise on technique. When I was an opening batsman in the school, some 45 years back, my coach didn't allow me even a single "crossbat" stroke , and no lack of footwork. But take our Segwag. He is like a lottery. Everyone knows he lacks foot work, which is not acceptable for an opening batsman. Even established batsman like Sachin gets clean-bowled by dragging the out side the off stump ball by cross bat.He always gets out like that only. In fact he is surviving by his instinct. Only Dravid and VVS do not cross-bat. They should open for India. If we stick to basics, we will not fail.

Decline

We all know that Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman, SRT and Zaheer are 34 and will be done sooner or later but where are the next set of quality batsmen and bowlers for tests. If the test team is bad now, wait till 2-3 years from now. They will most certainly be in the bottom half of rankings.

The deteriorating quality of the test team reflects the current values of the country -- money is God, pride and honor are for sale.

why are all fellow Indian cricket fans fail to analyse or realise the real reasons
---
I do not think just a set of replaced players will change things

why ?because Aust ,english and SA employ latest technologies ,fitness and rigorous training etc

skill gets you into team ,but it is TECHNIQUE improvement constantly that will sustain in you in the team

That is why many came and faded away

---
so solutions are with BCCI doing reforms
from Tracks in Indian stadiums
and putting proper nets at stadiums equipped with BOWLING MACHINES etc

Indian Team's performance
by Sharath Mohan on Jan 04, 2012 02:09 PM  | Hide replies

Can understand the feelings of millions of fans when i read thru these msgs. I also feel the same way.. when we lost in MCG, like others, i also thought its the usual starting trouble.. but SCG seems to be even worse.. we need a miracle to save an inn defeat.. in Eng, we had several excuses.. but here none can be given.. all our 1st string players fit and avbl.. still we have fared poorly.. most famed batting line up fails to live up to the billing and bowling, with some exception of Zak, performs way below expectations. Also wondering what Aus wud have done if they had won the toss... I think the best thing for India wud have been to lose the toss and bat first.then we cud have said that "If only we had won the toss and put Aus in" !!! anyway its very very disappointing to see our players doing so badly.. more so with the batting since they have seen such conditions or worse than this several times before... just hope we can pull things back in one of the remaining 2 tests.. but cant see any such possibilities as of now...

The team has become as lousy as the coach. He doesn't seem to inspire the team as kirsten did.

Abhinav Mukund to bring in place of Gautam Gambir
by km vb on Jan 04, 2012 01:44 PM

BCCI should bring Abhinav Mukund in place of Gautam Gambir.Abhinav Mukund was given only 5 test matches and scored 211 runs in 10 innings. He can be groomed. His initial matches with England and if he is given chance,he will be bright prospect for future.
