Basic issue
by shiva on Jan 01, 2012 07:11 PM  | Hide replies

Our key batsmen are past their best, pushing forty-years. I have never seen another team in this boat. SRT in a hurry to get to hundred. Tough call for us

It is very irritating to always talk about SRT. Is he playing bad? He was top scorer in both the innings? Still we say he is playing for hundred? We dont hear this about Virat Kohli, Gambhir or Sehwag. Why? Is it because they didnt do anything extra ordinary so they are playing for country?m None of us talked about Bowlers who slipped from advantage in both innings? can we imagine 240 plus from a team which was at 27/4 at a time?

Don't put words into my mouth. I said SRT is in a hurry to get to hundred; meaning he should apply more to get big scores as this test cricket. Don't come with pre-conceived ideas.

You dont need to convince me, ask yourself what is in your mind about the entire statement starting with Key batsmen are past their best .... Convince yourself. SRT is not in hurry to make hundred. Irrespective whatever in mind, he is doing better than any one so far.

The best way for tendulkar to ge this hundred is if either dravid or shewag get 150 or more competition spurs the best in most

Dravid working on technique
by A Singh on Jan 01, 2012 05:46 PM

As if we do not have enough class in the team!
I think we should kick out all Class from the team, and bring in some enthusiasm.

How can you prove your theory. Every body learns something each day. It is applicable to Dravid or even a rocky.
The willingness to learn is the key thing.

will loose the Sydney Test too.

India will loose the Sydney test too. If they cannot win the test it will be a draw. 2012 is a bad year for Indian cricket.

Great prediction. To match your prediction, I am giving mine.
If it is not a draw, it is going to be a tie if none of the teams are able to win.

I think it is getting tough for the selectors to replace the legends. IPL mania hurt test cricket as we can have only players who can live for 5 or 6 overs on a flat pitch. We need to build few bouncy tracks at least in the Ranji level at least to groom players with Calibre.

He wish to contribute his maximum as long as he is in the team. Let the selectors decide whether he is there in the team or not. He was the No.1 test player in 2011.

Samuel:

Are you young to learn reading? Or should we wait 10 years before you achieve that feat?
