many players are missing
by rajesh pawar on Jun 12, 2012 08:45 AM

today we can say entire team is match winner....but the stongest middle order match winners(chase basis where) azhar, jadeja, robin sigh...then yuv-kaif......these players where the foundation as a best partners and match winners ...for instance azhar 62 ball chase hundred(fastest then) against newzealand in 88(without kapil,sachin,shrikant)....same azhars 74 ball hundred in test along with kumble....matches are many ...robin singh changed entire tempo of indian cricket as midle tailender.......now its easy to give a credit to other legends but people forget the unsung heroes.

Nice list
by Sameer Bhagwat on Mar 13, 2012 09:38 AM

I think the 2003 WC Quarter final chase against Pakistan deserves a mention too. Sachin played perhaps the best ODI innings of his life under pressure.
I am glad to see one of my all time favorite players Robin Singh in 2 of the matches in this list. He was one player who always gave his 100% no matter what. When people say will we find another Sachin, another Sehwag, another Dhoni, etc, I say we don't need another Sachin or Sehwag. If we can get 11 Robin Singhs who will do or die every ball of the match, that is good enough for us to win.

tendu
by rocky on Mar 05, 2012 02:10 AM  | Hide replies

though tendu has played the maximum number of matches and that 2 opened the innings but his contribution in these 300 plus chase's has been the least.
Others with less number of matches have contributed more in these wins.
Not saying that tendu is bad but for just highlighting that crciket is a team game and that others also perform and are if not better are at par with him.

In 1991 World Cup in Australia only Sachin is the Successful batsman during whole Tournament & before (Benson & Hedges Series) that time you not write that all team is failure. You have not blamed on the whole team & now you are blaming only Sachin. You should not forget that Sachin not Say he do, give answer to the bowler with his bat. Welcome to you that U have waked after 22 year, Welcome to you...........

India's best ten run chases in ODIs
by Bose Burada on Mar 01, 2012 07:40 AM  | Hide replies

You will observe that the great Sachin Tendulkar has not found a place in any of India's best 10 run chases in ODIs. He has not left mark as a Captain. He has created personal records for himself. It is time Indians give some importance to Hockey which has lost to Cricket. All time great Dhyan Chand should be awarded Bharat Ratna ahead of Sachin Tendulkar

Sir , This top 10 is debatable , do you forget the 142 and 138 on consecutive days in sharjah , first to reach the finals and then to win the finals , the dhaka independence cup it was sachin who broke the confidence of saqlain. I can come up with many more chases in which Sachin has contributed

All it takes is one match to fool sheeps in India
by My Opinion on Mar 01, 2012 04:14 AM  | Hide replies

India's performance abroad is pathetic. They were white washed in England and Australia test series.
Now India is won (however big the win may be), this has proved that all it takes is to win one match to fool the sheeps in India.

same is for other countries, there performance is pathetic in India.
Engand whitewashed india in all fromats in england but lost all the odis when they were in india.
After they(England) bcame the number one teat team they lost 3-0 to pakistan in sharjah.
so its teh same for all and india is no different.

Proof that writer is ignorant

The 2 best ODI innings ever played by anyone, in Sharjah year 1998 are missing. The 143 helped us to reach final and 134 helped us win it.
These are just 2 of the many innings HE has hit but then when some one is 'down' (2nd highest run scorer in just concluded test series) its easy to fool people.

And these are successful run chases, the 143 in Sharjah was in a defeat. When it comes to big chasesa and wins, Sachin is a failure. You may see one or two innings in 200 innings that he would have played well in a big chase.

Indian Star,

India were successfully chased down in all these matches and those performances gifted him Player of the match Awards in these matches.

I didn't more time to dig. But I thinks, its too enough to answer your question.

grow up and get well soon. Come out from sachin hate mania. Dont respect him, Dont enjoy his game but kindly dont try to say we (those who really like to watch, when he plays) are fools to watch his game.

hahahahah.....even robin singh is a part of 2 successful highest runs chase list in his 1 or 2 year short career...some goat fanatics r presenting score card to prove how he is successful while in chasing runs. but didn’t understand the context of subject. This column is indicating highest (300 and above) runs chase. It is pity that despite playing 450-460 ODI, none of his inning (as a top scorer) secure the place in the list.
