Our indian players have already earned crores of rupees in their account so why will they worry to play?? Take a example of a middle class man, he is worried for his daily expenses so he always perform well in order to earn more salary and bonus. In cricket our players when they enter they get crores of rupees due to IPL so they are relaxed and dont bother if india looses or wins....they are just worried now to perform well in IPL. Finish

What you said is the real reason..there is absolutely no interest in playing since the contract system is in place

yeah right. That is why he remains the only guy who can win the match for india and has managed to do so so many times. Dont be fooled by style, it is persistence that matters.

:-)..
If we started winning matches with 14 runs off 49 balls, then I'd think we've gone back into the 1970's with the 2.8 runs per over type games... :)
BTW, India wins becoz a Gambhir plays, or a Ashwin scores a quickfire tail end innings... not due to test match batting till the last over when the target is 230..

Sadagopan Ramesh would have forgotten cricket long back.. why remind him, let him relax. Find new talents, don't suggest digging old graves..?
In my opinion the crux of the problem is batting style of Dhoni. Youngsters who came and joined Indian Team were inspired on the lines of Dhoni's tecnhnique which is a real non-sense. As a result we have this heap of youngsters who are unfit technically. I can give the proof of my argument: Raina, Rohit, Jadeja, Kohli etc. All emerged from the deeepShiiit created by the Dhoni's batting style. So whats the best punishment to Dhoni?

what a load of nonsense. Do you believe what you write ? It is thanks to his batting style, even with all the poor technique or lack there of, that india is winning more matches. Top order of india has been failing consistently and hence a person like dhoni has all these runs and a high average.

Dhoni's average is high becoz of his "preserve the wicket in test match style" tactics... As for wins, we've won when Gambhir scored, or Ashwin or Pathan scored quickfire runs sacrificing their wickets.. Check it out.. We should have won against SL instead of a tie...
Rotation was working to a certain extend. Not to win matches first of all but to give youngsters a chance. It is/was also backed by BCCI.They should carry on with it.Wrong of Dhoni for playing a blame game.Small mistakes do happen.
Dhoni needs to be fired now. He has failed to provide leadership to the team and his own performance as wicketkeeper does not meet the level expected.
He promotes favoritism - supporting players from UP and Chennai SK. His persistence with Raina, RP Singh, Chawla, M Vijai, Ashwin, etc. defies logic despite their repeated failures.
He is also divisive and likes to trash talk in front of media. These are not qualities of a captain and reflects his lack of basic leadership skills.
Remember, when he promoted Raina as vice captain over Yuvraj and Gambhir. And how he ridiculed his senior player Harbhajan and his dead father in an advertisement for a whiskey. He has successfully eliminated Dravid and Laxman. Now he wants to show doors to Tendulkar. Him including Gambhir as a senior is also baffling. Gambhir is younger than Dhoni and has been one of the leading scorer in this trip. his inclusion in the rotation shows Dhoni's dislike for Gambhir taking priority over selecting the best team to win the game.
His failure to pin point to the reason for defeat shows his blame all but me attitude. As captain, his field placements and bowling changes are irrational and he never seem to learn from his mistakes. It is obvious now that his success was surely masterminded by Gary Kirsten and individual brilliance of Yuvraj, Zaheer. Harbhajan, and Tendulkar.
Clearly, Mr. Dhoni, you have failed to make it "different' or "large".

Indeed. He specifically asked the top 4 to play ridiculous shots and throw their wickets away. They must have learnt it from his batting style. What you smoking ?

:) The top order should have played like Gavaskar's initial foray into ODIs... :)
Hail!!! The most lucky player Mr Raina who has been getting retained still inspite of 21 innings failure in last 2 years. Poor Tiwary,Rahane,Saha,Pujara
