a short temper head above his shoulder. Forget about current form of seniors, look at Sachin, Dravid and Laxman; they are great because success never went into their head. They focussed only on cricket and not what media says and how spectator behaves with them on field. If Kohli understands this then he can serve India for a long time to come else will be part of history. Yadav is good and if he gets more guidance he really can be a great asset in the team.
Setup 5 matches with ZIM, BAN or Netherland. Get over with Sachin's 100th ton, Dravid's and VVS's comeback performances and then do a GRAND FREWELL for India's most senior 3, with kudos to them for serving the country for so long.
Let's focus on cricket after that home/away tour and build a new team with promising players. I suspect Shewag will be the same as usual and can be included to go with Sachin, Dravid and Laxman.
How many times people have come up with the team compositions and expressing their version of the team?
Looks like you guys don't get it. The problem doesn't like with the team composition. The problem is much more deeper. You can come up with a team composition for a match or two, but that is just a short term fix.
In order for us to feel good and be a competitive professional team that everyone can contribute and something that fans can be proud of, there is lot more work to be done in grass roots level. Picking a player here or there, moving the order up and down isn't going to solve this problem.
Look at SriLanka for example, there are so many new comers, most of them are unknown, but they are performing amazingly well. The team is trained well, everyone in their team is super fit, the field well, they bowl and bat in a discipline manner.
With so many stars in Indian team, the team has lost discipline. With so much problems within the team i wonder how you can stick to a game plan and play as a team.
Openers: Sehwag Kumble (he can still make 100 wont get out easily)
Middle order: Irfan pathan Sadagoppan Ramesh Ajay Jadeja Virat Kholi Ricky ponting (He apply for indian citizenship and get chance here, he also get IPL as otherwise no one is taking him. He will tell us secret about australia.)
wk-keeper captain: M S Dhoni
Spinners: Sachin tendulkar (on his spin bowling alone he can be selected in team, his batting is plus) Ravi Shastri (He is mature and handles situation well, plus he is friends with umpires so he will get lbw decisions)
Fast Bowlers: Zaheer Khan Umesh Yadav Mohammad kaif (He is the fastest bowler in the world bowls at 170 km, india should not save him for world cup 2015)
To all youngisthans Justify these (Mongisthans) players contribution in the team. 1.Rohit Sharma. 2.Sewhag. 3.Zaheer Khan. 4.Praveen Kumar. 5.Raina. 6.Jadeja. FYI, Gambhir in the last 2 years had played only 3 worthful innings. Virat Kohli is just a flash in the pan without any consistency. Irfan Pathan can never be used as a main bowler but only as a supporting 6th bowler. Ashwin , Rahul Sharma , Umesh & Vinay are the only new comers in the teams. Other fellows had minumum players 70-80 matches between them. Then why blame Sachin alone. Fools who quote ponting as an example should realise that they are having minimum 5 worthful players to replace ponting like Watson, Mitchell Marsh.. etc.. But with whom are you going to replace Sachin with. Manoj Tiwary????? How many centuries did he hit. If the same Sewhag who scored 219 in ODI’s a few months back is struggling, what will a Tiwary, Rahace can do. If they should be rotated, let Greats like Rohit Sharma, Raina, Jadeja be replaced with & not with Sachin. Sachin is not playing well, but that dosent mean that others are playing wonderfully. Maximum Rahane will score will score 5 & Tiwari will score 8 in Australian conditions presently. So, it is useless to blame Sachin alone. Afterall how much did Dhoni scored in the tests. If Dhoni, with his useless Helicopter shot can be in the team, anybody can be in this Indian team. Mind It…..

why go that far, even justoify Sehwag as a oneday player.
